Who am I? A fun quiz collection of animal questions (1–10)
My body is pink. The shape of my beak is distinctive. I stand on one leg.
See the answer
flamingo
The fact that it has a beak is a big clue, isn’t it? Speaking of beaks, that suggests a bird, and if it has a pink body and is good at standing on one leg, the answer is a flamingo. Since it’s a water bird, it has long legs with webbed feet and a long neck that’s useful for catching fish.
I am born from an egg. I’m laid-back. I have a hard shell.
See the answer
turtle
The answer is the turtle. Sea turtles laying eggs, which makes them look like they’re crying, is well known. There seem to be species that lay on land and species that give birth in the water, but turtles lay eggs, and the babies hatch from them. Turtles may look like slowpokes in their movements, but the babies bustle about busily at first and eventually learn to swim at a leisurely pace.
I am in the soil. My claws are sharp. I can hardly see.

mole
The answer is the mole. The reason it lives underground is that there are lots of earthworms and insect larvae that moles eat. A mole’s home is extensive, with tunnel lengths said to reach 70 to 300 meters. Although their eyesight is very poor, they have an excellent sense of smell.

I hop around. My ears are long. I’m the model for Miffy.
See the answer
rabbit
With its hopping way of moving, long ears standing straight up, and the mention of Miffy—what could it be? That’s right! The answer is a rabbit. Rabbits are very popular as pets and are a familiar sight in petting areas at zoos. Thanks to their adorable appearance, they often show up in children’s songs and fairy tales, too.
I resemble a cat. My mane is distinctive. I am called the king of beasts.
See the answer
Lion
Actually, lions belong to the cat family. Their magnificent manes are what make them look elegant and stately. While the exact reason they’re called the “King of Beasts” isn’t clear, it’s said that the image of a single male leading the females of a pride evokes the image of a king protecting his country.
I love humans. I like taking walks. I also have friends who work in the police.
See the answer
dog
Dogs are very friendly and adorable, aren’t they? Many of you probably often see them being taken for a walk in the evening. Some dogs have special roles, like guide dogs and police dogs, and they’ve become indispensable in our lives.
I am similar to a human. I have handsome companions. I pound my chest.
See the answer
gorilla
Gorillas are said to be similar to humans. Their DNA, their social nature… perhaps dexterous hands are another shared trait. In the past, there was also a handsome gorilla called “Shabani” who was featured widely in the media. The action of a gorilla beating its chest is called drumming and seems to be done mainly for intimidation.
