LiSA, who achieved a major breakthrough after performing the theme song for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, is now one of the most prominent artists representing Gifu Prefecture.

Before debuting under the name LiSA, she had experience as the vocalist of a pop-punk band and had long been involved in rock music.

The turning point that led to her solo debut was being selected as the vocalist for Girls Dead Monster, the band featured in the TV anime Angel Beats!.

This opportunity propelled her to great success in the anison scene.

Then in 2019, with Gurenge, she gained support from a wider audience than ever before and became one of Japan’s most beloved national singers.

Her charm lies in the beautiful coexistence of powerful, overwhelming vocal ability and delicate expressiveness—an inspiring voice that moves people.

04 Limited Sazabys are a rock band currently thriving at the very heart of the Japanese rock scene.

They host their own festival, YON FES, in Nagoya and actively promote themselves as a “Nagoya band,” so many people strongly associate them with Aichi Prefecture.

However, RYU-TA, who has played guitar since the band’s formation, is actually from Gifu Prefecture.

His trademark is a uniquely shaped ESP-made signature guitar.

In addition to providing backing vocals, he sometimes takes the lead vocals in place of GEN, using his distinct gravelly voice as a weapon to add even more depth to their songs.

Naru-Dora is a rock band formed in 2013 in Gifu Prefecture.

Their appeal lies in their wide-ranging style: they have easy-to-listen-to songs typical of a guitar rock band, stylish tracks with a jazzy feel, and even numbers with a touch of Japanese flavor.

Since vocalist-guitarist Kazuya Miwa, guitarist Shinsuke Kaba, and drummer Ryohei Iwata played screamo in their previous band, some of their songs are quite intense as well.
