RAY

Ray is a former female singer and lyricist from Sapporo, Hokkaido.

She attended an actors’ school from a young age with the goal of becoming an artist, and debuted as a singer in 2012 with “sign,” the opening theme for the TV anime Waiting in the Summer.

She continued to focus on anime songs, and in 2017 announced on her official blog that she was graduating from her career as a singer.

Abe Natsumi

Abe Natsumi

The 10th solo single by Natsumi Abe, formerly of Morning Musume.

She came to Tokyo from Muroran, Hokkaido, and became a member of Morning Musume.

I think the ability she proved by holding the center position of a super idol is clearly shown in this song.

It’s a hidden gem that’s popular among fans.

Iida Kaori (Tanpopo)

As a spinoff unit from Morning Musume, Tanpopo gained tremendous popularity.

Back then, these four were just too cute, and they were the idols every elementary school kid looked up to.

The looks, the dance, the melodies, the lyrics—everything was wonderfully put together.

Member Kaori Iida, like fellow Morning Musume member Natsumi Abe, was born in Muroran, Hokkaido.

snowflowersleepy.ab

Formed in Sapporo, Hokkaido, the three-piece band sleepy.ab bases its sound in alternative rock while incorporating diverse elements such as indie rock and post-rock.

They made their indie debut in 2002 with the album “face the music,” and achieved their major-label debut in November 2009 with the album “paratroop” on Pony Canyon.

Characterized by melancholic, dreamlike soundscapes and gentle vocals, they won the inaugural CD Shop Award in 2009.

In addition to performing as a full band, they are active in an acoustic configuration as sleepy.ac and as the duo Nariyamauchi, featuring Naruyama and Yamauchi.

They are a perfect fit for music fans seeking a pleasant afterglow and a singular, immersive worldview.

A three-piece band formed in 2006.

They’re a popular rock band, hosting a regular show on a local radio station and headlining solo concerts at one of Hokkaido’s top live venues, PENNY LANE24.

Their live performances have a strong reputation and get the crowd going every time!
