Akari Yamanishi, who was active as the lead vocalist of the enka girl group MIZMO, hails from Arida City in Wakayama Prefecture.
After the group disbanded, she made her solo debut in June 2022 with the single “Dear, Land of Oranges.” Filled with love for her hometown, this longing-for-home enka showcases her powerful voice and fresh, expressive delivery.
A proven talent who competed in NHK’s “Nodo Jiman” Grand Champion Tournament in high school, her singing ability—honed under her mentor Hideo Mizumori—comes with an impeccable reputation.
In July 2025, she will release “Michishirube” digitally, produced by Noritake Kinashi with lyrics and music by George Tokoro.
She is an artist we hope not only enka fans but everyone seeking songs that resonate in the heart will listen to.
Woman ~from “W’s Tragedy”Kawashima Keiji

Singer-songwriter Keiji Kawashima, known as the “Enchanting 3D Voice,” hails from Minabe in Hidaka District, Wakayama Prefecture.
Centered on rock while incorporating elements of jazz and soul, he excels at mature, richly layered pop music.
He made his major-label debut in 2016 with the mini-album “KEIJI.” His signature songs include “Shiroyohira,” which reached No.
1 on streaming platforms, and “Imabito,” a prayer for peace.
In 2024, he received the Wakayama Prefecture Cultural Encouragement Award, reflecting growing recognition in his hometown.
With distinctive activities such as performing concerts at World Heritage sites like Mount Koya, his vocals are highly recommended for anyone seeking authentic music that resonates with the heart.

cassisChim Chap

Chim Chap is a four-piece crossover band from Shiga Prefecture whose members each come from different musical backgrounds, delivering a diverse range of songs across rock, pop, jazz, funk, and more.
Debuting in August 2024, they have continued to release new work every month up to their October album, Orange.
The band began in their high school light music club and went on to win the grand prize at ESP BAND CONTEST 2023 and Jūdai Hakusho 2024.
Drawing influences from genres beyond rock—such as jazz and funk—they’ve established a unique style that mixes Japanese and English.
Aiming to create music as a universal language, their songs resonate with listeners from Gen Z to older generations.
I prayPUSHIM

PUSHIM, known as a leading figure in Japan’s reggae scene, is a singer from Osaka Prefecture.
She began performing locally in 1995 and established a style centered on reggae while incorporating soul and other influences.
She made her major-label debut with the single “Brand New Day,” released in June 1999.
She has delivered numerous classics, including “I pray,” which was used as a TV program’s ending theme.
In 2010, she received high acclaim, including a nomination for Best Reggae Video at the MTV music awards.
With sounds honed through repeated recordings in Jamaica and her overwhelming vocal prowess, she is called the Queen of Reggae.
It’s also wonderful that her younger sister, YOUNGSHIM, is a singer as well.
She’s highly recommended for anyone who wants to revel in a powerful singing voice!
MUCHURe:name

Re:name is a three-piece band from northern Osaka (Hokusetsu).
Formed in March 2016 by peers all born in 1999, they feature a musical style like a “Reiwa-era standard language,” combining a sophisticated sound rooted in Western pop and indie with the familiarity of J-pop.
Their 2025 album, GENIUS FOOL, has been highly praised as a definitive work that elevates elements of Western music and J-pop into an original form.
Their strong affinity with visual media is evident, with their songs continuously featured since 2024 in commercials for the Kintetsu Group’s Ise-Shima campaign.
Handling everything from songwriting to video production themselves, they have a unique approach, making them a highly capable band recommended for listeners seeking both sophistication and accessibility.
boySOUTH BLUE

SOUTH BLUE is a singer-songwriter based in Osaka.
They began making music after being blown away by a live show they saw in middle school.
Since the 2021 EP ’00’, they’ve worked on many releases.
While drawing on hip-hop and R&B sensibilities, their approachable sound blends the tones of acoustic guitar with elements of country—an appealing mix.
Their natural vocal style and down-to-earth word choices evoke everyday scenes in a charming way.
They’re steadily growing their fanbase, with tickets for their first-ever solo headlining show in December 2024 selling out during the presale.

If I could become the winditō ginji

A singer-songwriter born in December 1950 who has led the history of Japanese pop.
Hailing from Ikeda City in Osaka Prefecture, Ginji Ito traverses a wide range of genres, including rock and city pop.
He released his solo album “Deadly Drive” in 1977 and has created numerous classic songs.
“DOWN TOWN,” co-written with Tatsuro Yamashita, remains beloved today.
He is also known for composing “Ukiki WATCHING,” the theme song for the long-running TV show “Waratte Iitomo!,” which made him a familiar face at lunchtime.
In the 1990s, he supported the breakthrough of Ulfuls as a producer.
His sophisticated sound and great groove are perfect for anyone who wants to feel good by experiencing high-quality music!
