TRUE LOVEFujii Fumiya

Released in 1993, it became a huge hit as the theme song for the prime-time Monday drama Asunaro Hakusho.
TRUE LOVE is Fumiya Fujii’s solo debut single and one of his signature songs.
Its romantic world and Fujii’s sweet yet husky vocals gently sink in, wrapping you in a sentimental mood.
It keeps you company whether you’re reminiscing about a past love or thinking of someone special in your life right now.
With a nostalgic vibe that feels like it’s playing under the moonlight and lyrics that also look toward the future, it’s truly wonderful.
A classic that’s perfect for listening to on long autumn nights.
moon bathingYorushika

Yorushika is a duo band consisting of composer n-buna and vocalist suis.
This track unfolds a quiet, mysterious world as if bathed in moonlight.
Yorushika’s characteristically literary lyrics intertwine with suis’s gentle voice and delicate soundscapes to deeply fill the heart.
You can almost see scenes that capture irreplaceable moments within the passage of time.
Released in October 2023, the song was written as the theme for the animated film “Kaina of the Great Snow Sea: Star Sage.” An ensemble featuring acoustic guitar adds depth to the arrangement.
It’s a perfect song for long autumn nights when you want to sit quietly with your thoughts.
SeptemberTakeuchi Mariya

This is Mariya Takeuchi’s third single, released in August 1979.
While the song has a bright, poppy feel, there’s a certain melancholy to it.
As summer draws to a close, it tells of the bittersweet change of heart as a loved one’s feelings drift away.
In contrast to the light, upbeat sound, the emotions of a woman watching her lover slip away cut right to the heart.
Takeuchi’s gentle, enveloping vocals only serve to highlight the loneliness in the lyrics.
Thanks to this hit, the song won the New Artist Award at the 21st Japan Record Awards and was also included on the acclaimed album “LOVE SONGS.” On a long autumn night, with a slight chill in the air, give it a listen and pay attention to the story-like lyrics as they unfold.
That Autumn and School Daysoishikuru meronpan

The lead track from the three-piece rock band Oisicle Melonpan’s 2017 mini-album “indoor.” The repeating phrases and the dramatic dynamics—from the languid verses to the explosive chorus—leave an incredibly strong impression.
The imagery that evokes nostalgic school days blends with the autumn air and a touch of melancholy, creating an indescribable sentimentality.
Alongside the surging rock ’n’ roll sound, there’s a sense of impulsive momentum that reignites a passionate feeling.
Falling AutumnACIDMAN

A song by the three-piece rock band ACIDMAN whose dramatic development—where silence and passion intersect—shakes the heart.
Included on the album “equal,” released in September 2004, it has continued to captivate fans with its unique world, even without relying on tie-ins.
It begins with a guitar arpeggio that evokes the quiet of an autumn night, and the performance surges with emotion toward the end—truly breathtaking.
The cry that strives to carry feelings for things that are fading away becomes a “resonance,” spreading through the air.
A rock tune that gently stays by your side on long autumn nights when you want to drift into thought—why not give it a listen?
Halloween NightAKB48

When it comes to Halloween, it’s all about parties! The culture of dressing up, blasting fun music, and getting hyped has really taken root, and this single AKB48 released in 2015 is exactly that kind of song.
With a four-on-the-floor beat and funky guitar, it’s a super danceable track.
Built around a disco theme, its melody and vibe make it an autumn party song that both adults and kids can enjoy.

Crazy Party Night ~Revenge of the Pumpkin~kyarī pamyu pamyu

From the horror-tinged opening, this song immediately showcases the worldbuilding you’d expect from Kyary Pamyu Pamyu.
The track itself is fantastic, of course, but listening while watching the MV’s artwork and its cast of uniquely quirky characters makes it twice as fun.
Autumn parties mean Halloween, after all.
Brought to you by J-pop’s delightfully crazy songstress, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, this is the ultimate autumn anthem.
