Let’s go, Narashino!Narashino Kōkō Suisōgakubu
This is the original cheer song of Narashino High School in Chiba Prefecture, alma mater of Yakult alum Atsushi Ogawa and Hanshin alum Masayuki Kakefu.
It’s a classic you often hear during high school baseball cheering scenes! It was composed in 1975 by Yoshihiro Nezu, who was the brass band captain at the time.
The so-called “bibakuon” — a beautifully explosive sound — really gets your spirits soaring! The steady rhythm—don, don, dododon—feels great, and the flowing melody and power seem capable of changing the momentum of a game.
This masterpiece has been passed down and loved for a long time, so much so that it played during numerous remarkable winning streaks.
