Toys Made with Cardboard Crafts! Authentic Ideas You Can Make and Play With (21–30)
unicycle

A one-wheel bike that even appears in anime.
With only a single tire and a unique design that looks like it might tip over but doesn’t, some of you may be thinking you’d like to try riding one.
In fact, there are overseas companies that have developed one-wheel bikes for people who want to give them a go.
At home, let’s try making one out of familiar cardboard.
Cardboard is fairly stiff, but it takes some ingenuity to make it rideable.
Laminate several sheets to create thickness and build a structure that can withstand weight.
Depending on the bike’s design, it may be challenging for elementary school children.
How about making it together with family members or an adult? Not only will playing with the finished bike be fun, but the process of making it will also become a memorable experience.
Question Block

From adults to children, many people have played Mario games.
How about making the familiar Question Block that everyone has seen at least once? This Question Block doesn’t just look the part—it even has a mechanism that makes coins, mushrooms, and other items pop out from inside, so it should be a satisfying project to build.
You can create the popping mechanism using everyday materials like rubber bands and paper clips.
Younger children might find it difficult, so in that case, please have a parent or guardian help.
kitchen

We’re going to make a “kitchen set” for pretend play.
First, seal all sides of the cardboard box with packing tape.
Cut out the top to match the size of a metal bowl.
Fit the bowl into the opening—this will be the sink.
Next to it, make a stovetop by covering a piece of cardboard with black paper.
Cut the side of the box to create a door.
For the handle, just layer and glue pieces of cardboard together.
Arrange plastic plates inside.
Attach a cardboard hook to the side of the sink and hang a ladle.
You might get more absorbed in making this kitchen set than in the pretend play itself!
Bottle Cap Shooter

A bottle cap you can find in just about any household.
How about making a gun that shoots these caps? The materials are cardboard, plastic bottle caps, a hot glue gun, rubber bands, and so on.
You can make a target and compete to see who can hit it more, or set up prizes like at a shooting gallery and aim for those.
Be careful not to burn yourself when using the hot glue gun.
Toys you can enjoy even after making them are great because they offer both the fun of creating and the fun of playing.
Ninja Weapons

Many children love the popular anime NARUTO.
So how about a science project where you make some of the weapons that appear in the series? Shuriken, kunai, and swords are relatively easy to make.
First, cut cardboard into the shape of the weapon you want.
Repeat this to make multiple layers, then glue them together at the end—done! The more layers you use, the stronger it will be.
It also sounds fun to customize the colors and shapes to create your own original weapon.
Be careful not to make the tips too sharp, as that can be dangerous.
Cannon cardboard target practice

An idea recommended for those who want to make serious cardboard crafts: the “Cannon Cardboard Target Game.” Both the targets and the cannon are made by assembling pre-cut cardboard parts.
The cannon is a fully featured build with adjustable angles, and inside it has a rod set up to push out a ball using rubber bands.
You pull the rod back and release it to launch the ball with force.
It’s also fun that if you hit the target just right, Bowser falls down.
Why not try making it with your favorite character?
drum set

There are probably more people than you’d expect who’ve thought, “I wish I had a drum set at home,” or “I’d love to try playing one.” That said, they take up space and they’re loud.
If that’s what you’re thinking—why not make one out of cardboard? You can create a one-of-a-kind drum set just for you, and it’ll be on the quieter side.
Cymbal stands and hi-hats are tricky, but trial and error is part of the learning process.
Try building it while following the video for reference.
And since it’s made of cardboard, it’s easy to take apart if you ever get tired of it.
