Easy carnations even for beginners

Here’s an easy way for beginners to make a carnation.
Prepare two sheets of origami paper (one large and one small), scissors, a bamboo skewer, and glue.
Fold the origami paper into a triangle twice, then gently squash-fold it by opening it from the inside.
While creasing, spread the inside and flatten it to form the base of the carnation.
Cut the top triangular part with pinking shears.
Fold it in half, make an inside reverse fold, then open it up and adjust the shape.
Wrap the origami paper around the bamboo skewer to make the stem.
For the leaves on the stem, add creases so they take on a three-dimensional shape.
Cut a slit at the tip of the stem, thread it through a hole made in the center of the flower, secure it with glue, attach the leaves, and you’re done!

We’ve introduced how to make a three-dimensional carnation out of origami.
