Sukima Switch’s song “Neko ni Nare” (“Become a Cat”) is a track that turns the messy, brooding thoughts after fighting with a girlfriend into music.

Because he can’t bring himself to say what he wants to—things that verge on snark or complaints—the lyrics make you think, “Ah, this is how he truly feels.” I imagine many men feel this way after a fight with their partner.

While cats in songs often come off as capricious or like little devils, this track portrays a very adorable, gentle cat.
