Christmas crafts for 2-year-olds! A collection of fun ideas using stamps and handprints (31–40)
Santa Claus with a tingling beard
Here’s an origami idea you can make together with a one-year-old, letting them enjoy the fun, crackly feeling of tearing paper.
Create a winter origami piece themed around Santa Claus, who visits at Christmas! Make Santa’s hat and face parts from construction paper, and put double-sided tape on the face in advance.
For the white beard, tear up regular copy paper into pieces—this will be especially fun to do with the children.
If you make small cuts in the paper first, it will tear more easily, which is recommended.
Finally, stick on the eyes, hat, and beard to the face, and you’re done.

Here’s a Santa Claus craft that’s perfect for 2-year-olds! First, prepare a Santa face cut out of construction paper.
Fold a piece of origami paper in half into a triangle and glue it onto Santa’s head.
Next, crumple some tissue paper and stick it on as a beard.
Finally, draw Santa’s face with crayons—and it’s done! It’s very simple, but it includes many steps toddlers can do on their own, like matching the corners of the origami and applying glue.
Give it a try!
Christmas tree made with newspaper stamping
Here’s a great tree craft that 2-year-olds can enjoy making using a newspaper stamp.
First, crumple up some newspaper, dab it with green and light green paint, and stamp it onto construction paper.
Make sure the stamp is sized for little hands to hold easily.
Once the paint dries, cut the stamped area into a tree shape, and let the children stick on ornaments you’ve prepared from construction paper.
You’ll end up with a tree full of free, expressive personality—just right for 2-year-olds! It’s a project that’s exciting both to make and to display afterward, so give it a try!

Many households put up a tree in their rooms at Christmas.
In this activity, you use a 3D makeup sponge to dab color onto construction paper and then cut it into the shape of a tree.
Using a 3D sponge adds a warm, textured look, so it’s highly recommended.
After using cotton swabs to create falling snow on navy construction paper, paste on the cut-out tree and finish by adding sparkly stickers or decorations around it as you like.
The navy background also makes the white snow stand out beautifully.
It’s a craft that even one-year-olds can enjoy, so please give it a try!
Christmas made with paper plates
https://www.tiktok.com/@hoikushi_bank/video/7032249700220701954Isn’t it exciting to make Christmas decorations using everyday paper plates? For this paper-plate Christmas tree and bell, you’ll paint the plates and punch holes to thread string through.
For the bell, choosing slightly larger jingle bells that make a clear sound is key.
For the tree, cut the plate into four equal pieces, arrange them into a tree shape, and add decorations as you like.
The method is simple, and it’s a project that really lets you feel the Christmas spirit, so give it a try.
Reading a Christmas picture book before or after the activity is also recommended to heighten the seasonal mood.

Mini tree made with paper plates
https://www.tiktok.com/@hoiku.labo/video/7301209281695649026Kids would be delighted if they could make a Christmas tree out of a paper plate, right? For this Christmas tree craft, cut a paper plate in half, roll it up, and tape it to form the shape of a tree.
Then stick torn pieces of origami paper onto the tree, making sure not to leave any gaps.
Once it’s finished, decorate it cutely with star and round stickers, and enjoy displaying it.
Since this craft mainly involves using fine motor skills, it should also provide developmental stimulation.
When it’s done, let’s display it and have fun!
A tree made by stuffing tissue paper into a bag
Here’s a recommended Christmas tree craft for two-year-olds: a tree made by stuffing tissue paper into a bag.
It’s fun because children can use their fingers a lot—crumpling the tissue, tearing it, and placing it in the bag.
After they’ve had fun, put the tissue paper into a plastic bag, shape it into a triangle while securing it with tape, and it transforms into a tree.
To finish, add your favorite stickers or a star, and it’s done! If you’re hanging it on the wall, attach a ribbon.
You can also make a design where Santa is peeking out, or paste the children’s photos where Santa’s face would be for a lovely touch.
