Make Your Christmas Party a Hit! Game Ideas for Large Groups (31–40)
Yamanote Line game

The Yamanote Line Game is a classic party game with lots of ways to play.
The original idea is to go around and name all the stations on the Yamanote Line in order.
Many variations have spun off from that, but let’s keep it simple here and try the original version.
It might be a bit tricky for people who aren’t familiar with the Yamanote Line.
It’s also fun to add a twist, like trying to say the names while drinking a carbonated beverage without burping.
NG word game

In the “NG Word Game,” each participant is assigned an NG (forbidden) word.
Since the person doesn’t know their own NG word, the other members steer the conversation to make them say it.
If you say your NG word, you lose.
For kids, even the process of choosing the NG words should be a lot of fun!
Russian haiku

Prepare paper and pens for everyone.
Each person writes a single character on their paper, flips it over, and the papers are shuffled.
They’re then redistributed, and each person adds another character.
Repeating this, you complete a 5-7-5 haiku.
If you try to connect your new character to the previous one to make sense, the finished haiku often turns out nonsensical, resulting in strange and amusing poems!
Doobee-doo-badoo game

It’s a word-and-gesture game.
After the chant “Doobee-doobah-doo,” you say “Doo-doo-doo” to nominate someone.
There are three finger-movement patterns, and you have to follow the rules: repeat the same movement and pass it to the next person, do nothing, or have everyone do it together.
It gets more exciting as the speed picks up!
Doubt

Card games are a party-game staple, and among them, the game “Doubt” is great because it doesn’t require detailed rules and really gets everyone excited.
You deal the cards to all players, decide the order, and then play cards face down in a set sequence.
The first person to run out of cards wins.
If you don’t have the required card, you play a different one—but if someone calls “Doubt!” and your lie is exposed, you have to take all the cards that were played.
The key is getting rid of your hand without having your lies detected.
It’s a tense and fun game that people of all ages can enjoy!
