Christmas Crafts to Enjoy with Kids: Stylish and Easy Ideas (11–20)
Cookie-shaped magnet

How about handmade magnets made of paper clay—something that would make anyone happy to receive as a Christmas present? Paper clay is a familiar material for kids, so they’ll likely enjoy making these.
Prepare your favorite cookie cutters, such as Christmas trees or snowmen, and cut out shapes from the paper clay.
Add bright colors with paint to give them a festive finish.
As a final touch, apply varnish or glue thinned with water for a glossy shine.
Lastly, attach a magnet to the back—and you’re done! They could also be lovely as brooches or ornaments.
Christmas tree garland

Christmas decorations are so cute it’s hard to choose, right? Let me introduce a sparkly, magic-wand-like, cute Christmas tree garland.
Punch holes in ribbons, thread a twist tie through, and alternate beads and ribbon to build your trees.
Christmas colors like green and red ribbons are recommended.
You’ll also thread a bead from the bottom, but don’t forget to bend the twist tie to secure it when you add the final bead.
Once you hang it on a string, your original garland is complete.
Add extra decorations to boost the Christmas vibe and have fun making it together as a parent-child activity.
Christmas frame

I’ll show you how to make an easy Christmas frame using a wooden frame from the dollar store! You’ll need a photo frame, construction paper, fabric, wood glue, and decorations.
First, cut the construction paper to fit the frame’s backing.
Using wood glue, attach a piece of fabric cut to the same size onto the construction paper.
Next, glue cinnamon sticks or small twigs to create the trunk.
Above the trunk, apply wood glue in the shape of a tree and stick on teased-apart green moss.
Finish by decorating it however you like, and you’re done! Handmade decorations are adorable too, so try making them with your kids.
Christmas boots

Christmas boots filled with sweets are a perfect way to get into the holiday spirit! You can hang them on the tree or give them as gifts—the possibilities are endless.
Let’s try making your own Christmas boots using paper cartons! If you use mini juice cartons, you’ll get a cute boot size.
Cut open a carton, flatten it, and attach origami paper or felt to create the inner part of the boot.
Next, use a second carton to form the rounded front of the boot.
Combine the pieces, and finish by adding felt—now it really looks like a boot! Decorating the cuff with fluffy felt cord or adding pom-pom balls makes it even more charming.
jelly cup tree

This is a Christmas tree made by repurposing empty jelly cups.
Why not try making a handmade, palm-sized Christmas tree that you can carry around? Fill the cup with cut yarn, secure around the rim with glue, and cover it with construction paper.
Decorate the cup with a star and line tape, and your Christmas tree is complete.
Simply changing the colors of the yarn and stickers lets you enjoy many variations.
Try this craft with children—they’ll have fun stuffing the yarn and sticking on the stickers.
Pop-up Christmas card

Making popup cards with cute lace paper lets you have fun combining different materials.
Adding color to the lace paper makes it more festive and creates a nice accent.
Since the card is designed so that a tree pops up when opened, be careful with how you attach it.
It will have a unique, handmade feel that’s different from store-bought cards, so it’s likely to be appreciated as a gift.
Try decorating around the tree with your child’s drawings or origami ornaments to create a one-of-a-kind card.

Puni Puni Snow Globe

It’s a snow dome with a squishy, puffy texture you can enjoy.
It would make a nice little gift for children.
Fold a rectangular sheet of construction paper in half to make a crease, then open it and punch a large round hole in the center of the left side.
On the right side, place Christmas stickers where they’ll be visible through the hole, then attach a clear bag filled generously with laundry glue and sequins over them.
Fold the left side with the hole back on top to form the dome section, and seal the edges with masking tape.
Glue a piece of construction paper cut into the shape of the snow dome’s base under the hole, decorate the remaining open areas cutely, and you’re done.
