We’re not going home until we get first place at karaoke.

You see it on TV too, right? The karaoke scoring shows where your national ranking comes up—the kind of segment where you keep singing until you get first place.
It feels like an endless challenge, but let’s give it a try! If it’s a song you’re really good at, you might unexpectedly snag the top spot.
Let’s prepare a few songs you’re confident in.
If you do get first place, you can brag about it to everyone around you.
Nanjamonja Game

Nanjamonja is a card game everyone can play together.
Players take turns flipping cards and give names to the characters that appear.
When the same character shows up again, be the first to call out its name.
The person who calls the most names wins.
Expect lots of laughs and hype from all the quirky names!
Icebreakers that even elementary school students can enjoy

Both children and adults can feel a bit nervous when playing with someone they’re meeting for the first time.
Here are some recommended games for those moments.
For example, there are games like “Rock-Paper-Scissors Catch & Go,” “Mirror Stretch,” “Become a Stick,” and “Stand Up.” There’s also a game called “Guide the Way,” which has three levels so you can gradually increase the difficulty as you play.
By sharing the same goal of cooperating to reach the finish at the end, you might even deepen your bond.

Musical chairs with chairs scattered around

Musical chairs is a classic game from childhood, but this version is a little different from the one where chairs are arranged in a circle.
In a large area, a number of chairs—one fewer than the number of players—are scattered around, and players have to find a chair and sit on it.
It’s a more physically demanding variation of musical chairs.
Make sure to attach some kind of marker to the chairs so they’re easy to recognize.
Supersonic Diner

A fast-paced card game where you slam down pre-distributed ingredient cards to make Chinese dishes.
Since it features many well-known dishes, it’s a great icebreaker for communication among college students.
After all the cards are dealt, players take turns playing cards to form words like “ramen” or “fried rice.” Some prompts are tricky, like “hot and sour soup,” so stay focused.
Setting Chinese-restaurant-themed background music or fun penalties will make it even more exciting.
The rules are easy to learn, and it’s a simple game everyone can try together.
Chorus Quick-Sing Game

Let’s get hyped with the super exciting “Chorus Speed-Singing Game”! Just as the name suggests, the person who sings the chorus first wins.
The host calls out a song title, and you jump right in with the chorus.
The fastest singer gets 1 point, and you compete on total score.
If someone gets it wrong, deduct points.
This might be the moment your usual karaoke practice or humming in the car pays off! No equipment needed, any number of players can join—an easy, highly recommended game to play anytime.
Survivors

A consensus game where you consider what decisions you would make to survive when suddenly faced with a disaster.
The theme is the real-life crash of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, inspired by the film “Alive.” Participants take on the role of a survivor and discuss how to respond to Roberto’s proposed actions, as well as how to overcome limited food supplies and the extreme cold.
Through discussion, players experience cooperation and differing values in a crisis, and because it tests a team’s ability to consolidate opinions and make judgments, it makes for an engaging, educational activity in schools and training programs.
It’s a theme that lets you enjoy the critical choices and viewpoints at key moments.
