ECHOLittle Glee Monster

Don’t you ever find that it takes a while to fully wake up in the morning and you end up putting off getting out of bed? That’s when Little Glee Monster’s “ECHO” delivers an explosive wake-up call.
It’s a powerful song chosen as the theme for NHK’s Rugby World Cup 2019 coverage.
The passionate vocals of the five members will lift your spirits.
Spring, Summer, Autumn, WinterLittle Glee Monster

Little Glee Monster is a six-member vocal group that captivates fans with their soulful yet cute singing.
Their song “Shunkashuto,” included on their second album Joyful Monster, was used as the theme song for the TV program Mezamashi Doyoubi from October 8, 2016 to March 25, 2017.
The lyrics depict a morning that marks the start of a day when you get to see someone you love, heightening the sense of anticipation for a time different from school or workdays.
With its clear, transparent harmonies that color a brand-new morning, it’s a heartwarming number.
In the MorningMrs. GREEN APPLE

In 2016, Mrs.
GREEN APPLE released the single “In the Morning,” overflowing with pop appeal.
It’s a motivational message song for those mornings when you feel lost or on the verge of breaking.
Even when you’re trying hard but not seeing results, when nothing seems to go right… its lyrics gently encourage you, seeping into that restless, unsettled feeling.
If you want a song to get you through each morning, try setting it as your alarm.
Mrs.
GREEN APPLE’s colorful, lively energy and wonderful lyrics are sure to make you stronger!
Is that okay?RADWIMPS

Although it’s a track from RADWIMPS’s fourth album, a new music video was made in 2017, so it’s one of the more well-known songs from their early period.
The BPM is in the high 80s, so it’s a bit on the slower side, but it has a refreshing vibe that suits the morning perfectly.
In terms of structure, it starts with an a cappella chorus before everyone comes in and the intro begins, which makes for a gradual buildup—spot on.
Lyrically, it’s a love-themed song that feels like it gives the listener a gentle push forward, making it a perfect fit for a clear, comfortable morning.

My Past Life, Many Lifetimes AgoRADWIMPS

This song is famous as the theme song for the 2016 blockbuster film Your Name.
Not only in the movie, but it was played daily across all kinds of media, including variety shows and news programs, so I think many people have heard it.
The lyrics have a great rhythm, and it’s the kind of song that wakes you up when you hum along.
BirdmanSEKAI NO OWARI

“Birdman” is a great song to use as a gentle, encouraging morning alarm.
Created by SEKAI NO OWARI—an artist with a unique charm shaped by a fantastical worldview and exceptional pop sensibility—it was released in 2021.
It was used as the theme song for the TV program “Mezamashi 8,” and its lyrics include words that signify the start of the morning, making it a perfect fit for the beginning of your day.
With a beautiful message that resonates especially because it comes from Fukase, the song offers ongoing encouragement.
Set it as your alarm, and it will surely lighten the grogginess of waking up.
OH!SHISHAMO

Among SHISHAMO’s songs with uplifting lyrics, Ashita mo is popular as a cheer-up anthem, but for waking up, this track is my recommendation! Its BPM is around 210, so it’s fast, but the positive lyrics and the gradually building arrangement perfectly match the conditions for a good wake-up song.
It starts with just palm-muted guitar accompaniment and vocals, then adds only the kick drum, and after that—everyone in! It’s got a clean, refreshing feel, making it a great pick for the morning.
