Stained-glass-style tree made with aluminum foil

Even stained glass that seems challenging can be a fun project for kids if you use aluminum foil! This time, we’ll show you a beautiful, shiny, stained-glass-style tree.

First, crumple the aluminum foil to create wrinkles.

Then open it up, place it inside a clear file, and cut it into a triangle.

Put masking tape around the edges of the file, decorate it with your favorite stickers, and you’re done! It also looks lovely if you draw stained-glass-style outlines with a black permanent marker and color it in.

Enjoy tailoring the activity to the children’s ages and interests.

Advent calendar tree

Many of you may be thinking, “I want to make an Advent calendar for Christmas!” An Advent calendar is a calendar that counts down the days until Christmas, with a fun twist of buying one treat or small item each day.

How about making an Advent calendar tree that combines this with a Christmas tree? For example, you could stick a tree decal on the wall and hang small stockings with the dates written on them from it.

Tree made with finger painting

Making a Christmas tree 🎄 Finger painting—painting by putting paint on your fingers instead of using a brush. It’s a sensory play activity that lets kids enjoy the texture of paint and stimulates the five senses 👀✨ And best of all, it doesn’t get messy!! So it’s a recommended craft method for very young, active children 🤭💓 We’re sharing other crafts on Instagram too 🔔 Please search for “hoikushi_hekimen” or “Nikori-sensei ☺︎” 🫣🫣#Childcare CraftsNursery teacher / Childcare workerwall surface#Wall Creation#IWantToConnectWithChildcareWorkersChristmas craftsFinger painting#SensoryPlay#paint

Enjoying how paint colors blend together stimulates children’s senses, doesn’t it? For this activity, you’ll drip paint onto a tree-shaped piece of construction paper and place it inside a food storage bag to create the artwork.

Even very young children can enjoy it without getting their hands dirty, making it perfect for a wall display.

Once the paint dries, decorating with round stickers or glitter tape gives it an even more festive Christmas feel—highly recommended.

It’s a wall display activity suitable from age 0, so have fun exploring color mixing while making a lovely Christmas tree.

A big tree made from mini trees

A lively big Christmas tree made by hanging lots of mini strap-style trees.

Draw a grid on a large triangular backing so that each mini tree takes up two squares.

Don’t forget to leave margins on both sides.

For the parts where you hang the tree straps, make slits with a craft knife, insert clips, and secure them with cellophane tape.

It’s also nice that you can extend the backing as needed by adding more pieces with tape.

Attach a large star to the top, and you’ll have a powerful big tree made from many small trees combined!

The Christmas season is finally here. A big tree is tempting, but buying one just for once a year can be tough on your wallet and your storage space… So why not make a “wall tree” using items from the 100-yen shop that you simply stick onto the wall? If you place it high up, you won’t have to worry about a baby knocking it over♪ ============ ■ How to make a Simple Tree 1. Stick your favorite string in the shape of a tree. 2. Decorate as you like. ■ How to make an Advent Tree 1. Stick several lengths of your favorite string horizontally. 2. Put sweets in bags labeled with numbers. 3. Sometimes you don’t have much space for a Christmas tree, right? This tree is made by sticking yarn onto the wall with masking tape in the shape of a tree, then creating decorations with ribbons, bells, and origami to enjoy decorating it.

Making it together with your kids would be a fun way to share the Christmas spirit.

If you’ve been hesitant to try making an advent calendar, this is an easy option, so please give it a try.

I think you’ll have a Christmas full of wonderful memories.
