There’s a backstory that it used to be “Sugarman Bank,” and you can see traces of that in the interior and decor. The checkout counter evokes a bank teller window, and the wall features a night-deposit box for accepting deposits outside of banking hours. It’s an old-fashioned system that was in use before ATMs became widespread. It’s fun to let your mind wander to that history while choosing some sweet treats.

The portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow as he appears in the films is recreated realistically within the attraction. It’s well known that the movie originated from the attraction, and later, popular characters from the film were added back into the ride. If you look for them as you ride, you’ll enjoy it in a different way than usual.

Inside Toontown, there’s one manhole that talks. It’s located near the shop “Gag Factory/Five & Dime,” and when you step on the manhole, you can hear various voices.

The face-like design in the center of the It’s a Small World facade is actually a mechanical clock. Every 15 minutes, bells chime and 24 dolls appear. The number of dolls was chosen at Walt Disney’s request to represent the 24 hours in a day.

While many of Cinderella Castle’s roofs are decorated in blue, the tip of the tallest spire is gold. Gold was the favorite color of Walt Disney, the founder of Disney. It was adorned in gold with the hope that even from heaven, Walt Disney would be able to find Tokyo Disneyland.

It has real diamonds embedded in it.

There’s a beautiful mosaic mural in the passageway that runs beneath Cinderella Castle. One of the women depicted in it is wearing earrings that actually use real diamonds! There’s even a rumor that touching those earrings will bring you good luck.

On Pluto’s collar in the park, there’s a message that reads, “If found, please return to MICKEY MOUSE” and “If you find me, please bring me back to Mickey.” You can really feel how much Mickey cares about Pluto in this message.

When it rains, outdoor shows and parades are often canceled. However, “Nightfall Glow” is a mini parade that takes place instead of the regular parade when it rains. You can meet characters wearing special outfits only for this occasion, so in a way it’s a lucky parade if you get to see it.

Tiger

Inside the Jungle Cruise boats, talisman ornaments featuring elephants, monkeys, and tigers are displayed. These three animals are considered guardians of the jungle and are said to be sacred animals in Asia, Nepal, and Siberia. Similar talismans have also been sold as souvenirs.

Gold Rush

Big Thunder Mountain is an attraction connected to the Gold Rush that took place in 19th-century America. The ride speeds through an abandoned mine—left derelict after the Gold Rush—aboard a runaway train with no engineer.
