Origami Cosmos Wreath

Here’s a perfect autumn craft: an origami cosmos wreath.
Fold origami paper to make the cosmos flowers and the wreath base.
Fold 8 petal pieces for each cosmos.
Glue the pieces together, trim the tips, and fan them out to complete the flower.
Adding a yellow sticker to the center makes it look even more like a cosmos.
Attach the origami cosmos and leaves to the origami wreath base to finish.
It’s also a delightful activity to chat with others while folding.
The finished piece can be taken home and displayed in a senior’s room.
Cosmos flowers on the autumn plateau

The cosmos, with its colorful round blossoms, is a delicate flower.
Seeing them bloom in autumn fields and flower beds makes you feel the arrival of fall, doesn’t it? Older adults, too, may sense the changing seasons when they see cosmos and other autumn plants.
Here, we introduce a cosmos-themed craft that captures that seasonal feeling.
First fold origami paper, then cut it into the shape of a cosmos.
Use your fingers to gently curve the petals so they look rounded.
You can also make petals with tissue paper, and add leaves to the cosmos to finish.
If you make lots of cosmos and stick them on paper or on the wall, it will feel like you’ve come to a highland where cosmos are in full bloom.
Cosmos wall hanging

Here’s a 3D, beautiful paper cosmos wall decoration.
Fold paper to create the stems and leaves.
Since the stems and leaves are delicate, the key is to carefully make small cuts with scissors as you work.
When attaching the stems to the base cardstock, adhere them while forming a slight curve to give a three-dimensional finish.
Attach the cosmos flowers as well to complete a dazzling cosmos wall decoration.
Changing the colors of the cosmos will make it even more vibrant.
A simple flower made with an accordion fold

When we think of spring, we often picture lush natural landscapes, with flowers we don’t even know the names of blooming everywhere.
This piece is about creating those vibrant, colorful spring flowers using combinations of origami.
The process is to accordion-fold the paper, then fold the whole piece in half and round off the edges with a cut.
After that, open it up, connect the pieces, and shape them into a circle.
By changing the colors of the origami or varying the sizes, let’s create a colorful flower field.
plum blossoms

Plum blossoms have long been beloved by the Japanese as flowers that herald the arrival of spring.
Because they announce the start of the season, they are considered auspicious.
Their Chinese characters also carry the meaning of bringing abundance, which adds to their good fortune.
As flowers to accompany Hina dolls, which are displayed with wishes for children’s health and growth, plum blossoms are a perfect choice.
This origami plum blossom is easy to make with simple steps.
There is a step where you use scissors to shape the petals, so please handle them with care.
Make lots of them and enjoy arranging them in different ways, such as creating a garland or making a wreath by attaching them to a backing.

Peach blossom made from a single sheet of origami

Introducing a craft idea that lets you feel the arrival of warm spring: “A Peach Blossom Made from a Single Sheet of Origami Paper.” It’s easy to make with just one sheet of origami, yet the softly opened petals look charming and add a bright, springlike touch.
Choose a gentle pink paper for a soothing finish that’s delightful to look at.
No tools or special skills are required, and the delicate, finger-based steps can also help with hand rehabilitation and improving concentration.
This is a recommended craft you can use to decorate your room or for seasonal wall displays.
Rose

Origami roses are lovely, aren’t they? Using colorful origami paper can really brighten up a room.
The process of making the folds helps you focus and even works as fine-motor rehab.
As you carefully shape each piece, it also brings a sense of calm.
The feeling of accomplishment when you finish is exceptional.
It’s perfect not only for flower lovers but also for anyone who enjoys hands-on activities.
Would you like to make some beautiful origami roses together? I’m sure we’ll have a wonderful time.
