It’s the Okadayama Festival, the school festival of Kobe College. There are opportunities for students to express different sides of themselves, such as a dance contest and stage performances. The paella from the Cooking Research Club is said to be famous, but it sells out quickly, so if you’re going, get there early.

Geiko Festival | Kobe Design UniversityOct 18 (Sat) – 19 (Sun), Hyogo Prefecture
Geikosai is the campus festival of Kobe Design University, an arts university in Hyogo Prefecture. In addition to the usual food stalls, the festival features events like a singing contest and a cross-dressing competition called “Mr. Geiko Princess.” There are also exhibitions of works created by the students. It’s a lot of fun, with plenty of high-quality pieces that you’d expect from an arts university.

New Moon Festival | Kwansei Gakuin University (Kobe Sanda Campus)Oct 18 (Sat) – 19 (Sun), Hyogo Prefecture
The Shingetsu Festival is one of the largest school festivals in the Kansai region, held every year at the Kobe Sanda Campus. Each year, students rally around a theme and give it their all to make the event even more exciting. Look forward to a variety of fun events and the popular food stalls. Umibukuro Festival | Hyogo Medical University (Kobe Campus)Oct 18 (Sat) – 19 (Sun), Hyogo Prefecture
Kaikyosai is pronounced “kaikyosai,” and the character for “梟” means “owl.” The name is said to come from the frequent use of owl motifs in objects around the campus. In addition to stage shows by various groups, there are Yoshimoto comedy performances and Miss and Mister contests. Sometimes there’s also a Kamen Rider show, making it a festival packed with events that children can enjoy as well.
