Here’s an introduction to the cultural festivals and school festivals held by universities and junior colleges in the Kansai region (Shiga, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, Nara, and Wakayama).
Enjoy the once-a-year festivities to the fullest with flea markets, food stalls, creative and entertaining programs, live events, and more!

Shoai Festival | Higashi Osaka UniversitySun, Dec 7 — Osaka Prefecture
Shoai Festival at Higashi Osaka University. In addition to live performances by artists, there will be an intro quiz, a bingo tournament, and a cross-dressing contest. Among these, I hear the first prize in the bingo tournament is a DSLR camera! It’s a great chance to step into the deep world of photography. Why not join in and aim for the top prize?

EVE is an event held once a year to celebrate Doshisha University’s Founding Day. EVE is guided by the principles of “student self-governance and self-management” and serving as “a venue for the expression of group activities.” No matter how similar EVE may seem to a school festival, as long as it is run by students in accordance with these principles, EVE is not a school festival but an event that celebrates the founding of Doshisha University.
