Osaka Metropolitan University’s “Futaba Festival” is a campus festival held every spring. It features welcome events for new students, a raffle with luxurious prizes, and food stalls, all organized to warmly greet those who enrolled in the spring. It’s nice for first-year students to have such a university-wide event right after they enter.

Ginkgo Festival | Osaka University (Toyonaka Campus)May 1 (Fri)–2 (Sat), Osaka Prefecture

The Ichō Festival is a university festival held at Osaka University every year from late April to early May. In addition to welcoming new students, it appears to be an event that emphasizes interaction with faculty and engagement with the local community. May Festival | Osaka Kyoiku UniversityOsaka Prefecture, Sat 5/16–Sun 5/17

The May Festival held on the Kashiwara Campus of Osaka Kyoiku University is a welcome event for new students that takes place in mid-May. In addition to welcome-event food stalls and live concerts, there are plans such as club exhibitions, film screenings, and dance performances, and a Spring Sports Festival is held around the same time. Scheduled for when new students are starting to get used to campus life, it’s a lively and exciting event.

Friendship Festival | Osaka Metropolitan University (Nakamozu Campus)May 23 (Sat) – 24 (Sun), Osaka Prefecture

The Friendship Festival features plenty of events, including a Kids Island for children and an escape game—there’s so much fun to be had! Sakura Festival | Otemae University (Sakura Shukugawa Campus)Hyogo Prefecture, Sat 4/11

This is the school festival at Otemae University’s Sakura Shukugawa Campus in Nishinomiya, Hyogo Prefecture. It’s held in spring during cherry blossom season. Given the timing, it might be more accurate to describe it as a welcome event for new students rather than a traditional school festival. It’s a delightful event for first-year students to get a feel for the school’s atmosphere.
