Card and Board Games (11–20)
Jenga

Jenga, the classic toy that gives you that irresistible thrill of suspense! It’s a game where you build a tower with wooden blocks and then take turns removing them.
The key is to pull pieces out skillfully, and it’s fun to calm your mind and take on the challenge without rushing.
These days, there are also unique versions with special rules added.
The Game of Life

Among the many board games out there, how about The Game of Life, a timeless bestseller that lets you play through a realistic human life? Whether you haven’t played in a while or it’s your first time, its simple rules make it a classic everyone can enjoy.
These days you can even find it at convenience stores, so try picking it up and enjoying it casually during a break!
Brain games (1–10)
Lateral Thinking Game

It’s a game that tests whether you can think flexibly to arrive at the correct answer, exemplified by “Umigame no Soup” (Lateral Thinking Puzzles).
There are sample problems in books and online, so use those as references and try testing your own mental flexibility together! You might be surprised by answers you never imagined!
Two-letter shiritori

Would you like to try playing two-letter shiritori? In regular shiritori, you connect the last letter of the previous word to the first letter of your word regardless of length, and the person who uses a word that ends with “n” loses.
This version adds one more rule: you can only answer with two-letter words.
It’s perfect for when regular shiritori is too easy and boring.
If you want to make it even harder, try banning repeated words or keeping a steady rhythm while playing.
It’s a real test of your vocabulary!
No Voiced-Sound Game

Voiced sounds are the muddied sounds like “da” and “ji.” For example, words like “daijoubu” and “gomen” contain voiced sounds.
This game is about having a conversation while banning those voiced sounds.
When you talk, pick a topic to discuss.
Saying nothing is not allowed.
Strip out the voiced sounds and keep the conversation flowing.
If you answer reflexively, you’ll end up speaking as usual, so be careful.
Announcing a penalty game for each voiced sound used will add extra thrill!
Palindrome-making game

It’s an activity where everyone tries to come up with palindromes—sentences that read the same forward and backward.
Since how many words you know matters a lot, it might be difficult as a game where individuals think and present on their own.
In that case, collaborating to create palindromes should make it enjoyable for everyone.
I recommend writing a starting word on paper and then adding corresponding words to it; this flow makes it easier to smoothly come up with palindromes.
When you work together and complete a long, fun sentence, you’ll feel a sense of accomplishment and strengthen your bonds with one another.
Doobee-doo-badoo game

This game introduced by the popular YouTubers, Fischer’s, is easy to enjoy with four or more players.
The rules are simple.
The first person says “Doobee Doobah Doo,” and on “Doobee,” they touch their right shoulder with their right hand and then their right shoulder with their left hand; on “Doobah,” they again touch their right shoulder with their right hand and then their right shoulder with their left hand.
Next, on “Doo,” they make a pistol shape with their hand and point at someone at random; the person pointed at then performs “Doobee Doobah Doo” again.
Alternatively, on “Doo,” they can make a phone shape with their hands and raise both hands.
Then all participants make the same hand shape and say “Doo Doo Doo.” It’s a fun game that strengthens the sense of unity with your friends!
