DG New Context FestivalSat, Feb 14, Tokyo

Under the theme “From Context to Impact—Linking Contexts to Move Society,” this event is broadcast from Shibuya, a testbed city, as a social-implementation festival integrating technology, culture, and the urban realm. Katsushika Band FestivalSun, Feb 8, Tokyo Metropolis

As part of Katsushika Ward’s “Katsushika, the City of Music” initiative, this music event was launched to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Katsushika Symphony Hills. Ten rock-oriented amateur bands, mainly active within the ward, will gather at the Mozart Hall to deliver a wide variety of performances. The guest act is Alaska Jam, known for its one-of-a-kind style that fuses hip hop and guitar rock. Scheduled for February 2026, admission is free and no reservation is required.

Upopoy Cultural Exchange FestivalHokkaido, Sat 2/7–Sat 2/14

UPOPOY CULTURE FEST is a winter event held at Upopoy (the Symbolic Space for Ethnic Harmony) in Shiraoi, Hokkaido, themed around the exchange of Indigenous cultures. Through concerts by Ainu and Taiwanese Indigenous bands, a stage production presented by Takeshi Ukaji, and the International Indigenous Museum Symposium, attendees can experience both the traditions and new expressions of Indigenous cultures through music, film, and dialogue. It will be held in February 2026.
