Summer songs with great lyrics. Summer tunes that make your memories even more special (41–50)
Heat haze of Augustmakaroni enpitsu

This is a song by the rock band Macaroni Enpitsu, formed at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Kanagawa Prefecture.
It begins with a cool, steady atmosphere that feels like a summer breeze, then builds powerfully toward the chorus as if pouring out emotion—an impressive sonic development.
As the title suggests, the song evokes images of desperately chasing something intangible and the accompanying sense of futility.
It also seems to express the loneliness felt when the summer heat has passed.
together; along with; bothWANIMA

Some people may be anxious about the future or feel as if they’re about to be overwhelmed by hardships.
For those people, I recommend “Tomoni.” It’s a song by the rock band WANIMA and is also well-loved as the theme song for the Kumamoto Earthquake recovery project.
Rather than simply pushing listeners forward, the lyrics—true to the title—carry a tone that invites us to move ahead together.
Singing it will likely soothe listeners with its warm message.
Summer Love Lifeaiko

Aiko has produced numerous classic songs about summer.
Among them, Summer Love Life is one of the most heartrending.
Told from a woman’s perspective, it overlays the end of summer with the end of a romance.
Another highlight is the many seasonal images woven throughout.
From a karaoke standpoint, the song features plenty of scoops and slides, making it easier to sound like you’re really nailing the performance.
Sing it well and you might just amaze your listeners.
That summer is becoming an addiction.Jenīhai

Released in September 2025, this piece is a number that beautifully captures the fleeting nature of summer and the lingering afterimages of memory.
Alongside vivid scenic descriptions, it sings of unforgettable memories being etched ever deeper into the heart over time.
Takashi Niigaki’s crystal-clear piano melodies intertwine with Ikkyu Nakajima’s wistful yet resolute vocals, enveloping the entire track in a nostalgic atmosphere.
It can be described as a work that showcases the band’s ensemble, whose expressive power has grown even further since the album “Jenny Classic.” It’s the perfect song for immersing yourself in cherished memories that resurface at the end of summer.
Our DiaryME:I

It’s a wonderful track that brightens up sparkling summer memories.
Featured on ME:I’s single “Hi-Five,” released in August 2024.
Its gentle lyrics reflecting on summer days ride over a laid-back melody and really resonate.
Poetic scenes—like the pool and camping under starry skies—are vividly depicted, stirring the listener’s own memories.
Perfect for when you want to think back on time spent with someone special.
It’s sure to leave you with a warm, cozy feeling!
A Perfect SkyBONNIE PINK

This is a song by BONNIE PINK that was used in Shiseido’s ANESSA commercial.
It’s said that this track overturned the music industry’s then-common belief that “songs with English lyrics don’t sell.” The song portrays a fickle summer romance, and yes, English lyrics pop up here and there.
But instead of feeling out of place, they actually make it cooler! That’s surely thanks to her vocal prowess and the particular sound of the track.
And above all, it’s stylish.
Isn’t it precisely because of the English lyrics that it feels so liberating?
Ms. Hanako on a high pedestalback number

This is a summer love song where vocalist Iyori Shimizu’s glossy singing rides over a rock sound.
As soon as the chorus melody starts, the drama accelerates, and a world unfolds that makes this summer shine as if under a spell.
Although it was released in 2013, it’s a mysteriously comforting track that you’ll find yourself wanting to revisit every summer, no matter how many years go by.
