Flower frame card
This is a file folder where you can insert messages, decorated with lots of flowers.
A plain clear file can feel dull, but with a little creativity like this, even a clear file you can buy at the 100-yen shop transforms into something very cute.
Please give it a try.
First, cut colored paper into many flower shapes of various sizes.
Once you’ve cut them, layer the flowers and stick round stickers in the centers.
Attach lace paper and the like to the clear file.
Finally, decorate the empty spaces with lots of flowers—and it’s done.
Flower message card
Here is a special pop-up card where a bouquet opens up the moment you open the card.
It’s very cute and festive, so children who receive it will likely be delighted.
To make it, cut slits into the wrapping-paper section of the bouquet on the first sheet of paper, then fold it to form the shape.
Once that’s done, attach it to a colorful base sheet.
Inside, glue cut pieces of paper to create the flowers.
It’s a good idea to write your message around the bouquet.
Changing the colors and types of flowers can add personality and make it even more fun.
A flittering butterfly message card
For graduation or end-of-year messages, how about a spring-like card where butterflies flutter out when you open the page? For the spinning butterfly parts, use translucent origami as the base and add weight with hot glue from a glue gun.
Fix the thread with the glue gun as well.
After writing your message, wind the thread and place the card in an envelope; when it’s opened, the butterfly will start spinning.
Unlike ordinary message cards, the unexpected motion adds a playful touch, making it a memorable card.
Shaka-Shaka Message Card

This is a message card that cleverly uses a trading card case.
Cut out the backing paper just a little smaller than the case, place sequins and illustrations inside the case, and seal the opening with tape.
When you shake it, the sequins and illustrations move, making it super cute.
Write your message on the opposite side and insert it.
Changing the color of the backing paper, the sequins, and the illustrations to match the child’s image might make them even happier.
Give it a try!

A Town with an Ocean View – All That Jazz
This is an adorable card where a flower opens up to reveal a message inside.
Being able to hold the stem part in your hand is a big plus, too.
After rolling paper to make the stem, fold a sheet of colored construction paper into quarters and cut it into a heart shape.
While it’s still folded, decorate it with stamps to make it cute, then write your message inside and fold it back up.
Attach it to the stem, and tie a ribbon at the base of the stem to make it even cuter.
You’ll have a lovely card you’ll want to keep on display forever.
L-size photo Surprise Letter

These are message cards where you can stick L-size photos as they are! When making message cards, size is always a concern.
Even if you want to attach photos of the kindergarteners to the cards and show them to their parents, store-bought message cards sometimes don’t have enough size or space.
In such cases, we recommend handmaking the surprise letter introduced here! Just cut and paste construction paper, and you can create a message card that looks just like a photo album.
[Craft Punch] Cherry Blossom Message Card

Message cards with a cherry blossom theme are just perfect for graduation season, aren’t they? If you punch out shapes from construction paper with a craft punch, layer and paste them to create cherry blossoms, you can achieve a gorgeous decoration—highly recommended.
Sending off the children who entered during cherry blossom season with cherry blossom cards must be especially moving for the teachers as well.
While writing your thoughts to each child in the message section, please craft them with heartfelt care.
