Handmade touches to brighten your kindergarten graduation album! Fun to make, delightful to receive — Idea Collection (31–40)
Include the teacher’s introduction and message.

There are some teachers you never forget, even when you grow up.
Many people probably remember stories about their kindergarten or nursery school teachers.
The teacher introduction section in the graduation album is very important, so be sure to choose a wonderful photo! Next to the photo, pick words that really capture that teacher’s personality and add a message in a speech bubble.
It’s also a great idea to note the teacher’s favorite things and special skills.
This is a perfect idea for a graduation album that will let you treasure your memories with your teachers.
Hand-draw the background

If you want to create an album with a handmade, cozy feel, we recommend drawing the background by hand! Dots, tiny florals, stripes, gingham checks, or leopard prints drawn with light-colored pens will enhance your photos and messages without distracting from them.
Simple hand-drawn backgrounds also pair perfectly with decorations like lace and glittery stickers.
By putting care into the background, you’ll end up with a delightful album that excites you every time you turn the page.
Decorate with a craft punch

In addition to illustrations and portraits, craft punches are great for decoration.
With a bit of creativity, you can use craft punches in countless ways to decorate a preschool graduation album.
Star and heart shapes are cute on their own, and you can create a large tree with a leaf punch for a more voluminous decoration.
Round punches can be combined to make adorable grapes or soap bubbles.
You can also use the surrounding cut-out areas as embellishments, so have fun experimenting with different combinations.
Decorate with punch-cut paper
How about making your graduation or preschool completion memories even more special by gifting a handmade album? There are many ideas for creating a handmade album.
You can collage, use tapes or ribbons, paste colored paper—there are lots of techniques.
This time, let’s decorate an album with punch-cut paper.
Cut out your favorite shapes—hearts, stars, flowers—and stick them anywhere like stickers to create something bright and fun.
Try changing the patterns, colors, and materials of the paper you punch and decorate with to make a one-of-a-kind album.
Make letters and pictures out of felt
Since a preschool graduation album is something you’ll keep for a long time, you want to put real effort into making it.
What we recommend for that are illustrations and letters made from felt.
Use them on key pages or the cover to create a three-dimensional, eye-catching result.
If you’re confident in your skills, try making kids’ favorite animals, Disney characters, or anime characters.
If handicrafts aren’t your strong suit, fabric glue is sold at 100-yen shops, so simply cutting and sticking the pieces can still give you a nice finish.

Accordion album

To help them look back on their memories, it can be nice to give an album at the graduation ceremony.
While a book-style album is lovely, why not try making an accordion album that’s easy to unfold? Wrap pieces of thick cardboard with fabric, attach them to a sheet of drawing paper folded in a zigzag (accordion) pattern, and then paste photos onto each piece of cardboard to complete the accordion album.
Choosing which fabric to use and how to add decorations besides fabric offers a wide range of creative variations, which is part of the fun.
Frame the photo with a frame illustration
If simply pasting photos feels a bit bland, a great trick is to frame them! You’ll be putting lots of photos in a graduation album, right? There are probably some you want to make stand out.
Printing them larger can work, but they might not fit in the album.
In that case, try drawing illustrated frames to highlight the photos! Using masking tape to create frames is also recommended.
