Once you’ve attached the kids’ crafts, it’s complete! Let’s make a Halloween-themed garland.
Take a handprint with white paint on black construction paper, then stick on cut cotton swabs to transform it into a skeleton hand! Next, take a handprint with green and black paint on purple construction paper, add scars and facial features, and it becomes Frankenstein.
You can also press a handprint with orange paint while the hand is clenched to turn it into a jack-o’-lantern.
Hang these handprint crafts on a string to finish a special garland.
Wobbly Ghost

The fluffy, swaying ghosts are easy to make: just cut a plastic bag, attach pieces with tape, and draw faces with a permanent marker—done! Kids are sure to love the simplicity and the unique movement.
All you need is a bag, scissors, tape, string, a pair of chopsticks, and a permanent marker.
Adjust the ghosts’ expressions and the length of the strings, then hang them by a window or somewhere with a breeze to let them drift and sway for a fun effect.
You can also hang them from the ceiling with strings of various lengths to create a great atmosphere!
Transforming Straw

Transform yourself!? Let’s easily make a straw accessory! What you need are pre-cut paper parts, a straw, scissors, tape, and a pencil.
There are probably times at Halloween parties or events when you’ll be sipping a drink.
This unique idea lets your mouth be hidden and makes you “turn into” an animal.
It’s a simple process: draw an animal’s mouth, insert the straw, and you’re done.
It’s also fun—and memorable—to spend time drawing the mouth of your favorite or dream animal.
Wool felt Halloween pumpkin

Let’s try making a jack-o’-lantern with needle felting.
Needle felting involves shaping as you poke the wool with a felting needle, so it requires concentration, but it’s best to work carefully to get as close as possible to the image you have in your mind.
The video is structured with easy-to-understand explanations, even for those who are new to handmade crafts or have never tried needle felting.
It could be fun to hang the finished jack-o’-lantern by a window or from the ceiling.
Cotton ball Halloween decorations

If paper decorations no longer feel satisfying, we recommend cotton ball ornaments made with yarn.
Besides yarn, all you need are small balloons, glue, a paper plate, felt, and scissors—items you can easily find at a 100-yen shop.
To make them, wrap glue-coated yarn around a balloon, let it dry for about three days, remove the balloon, and lightly decorate the yarn structure.
The yarn gives off a warm, cozy vibe, making these decorations perfect for enjoying a relaxed Halloween with seniors or children.
