Bunny ears made of wool

Here’s an idea for making a bunny-ear headband with wool.
Bundle three chenille stems together and twist the top and bottom to form the base of one ear.
Since each ear uses three stems, prepare six in total.
Layer several thinly spread sheets of wool over the base, and do the same on the back side.
On the front, add pink-dyed wool for the inner ear, matching the shape of the stems.
When you’re done layering, place it in a sink, cover with a towel, and pour hot water and then laundry detergent over it, rubbing well to felt it.
Once felted, remove the towel, wrap the piece in bubble wrap and knead it, then rinse thoroughly with water, squeeze out the excess, spread it out, and let it dry.
When dry, cut the ears to shape with scissors and attach them to a headband by securing with the chenille stems.
Finished!
Bunny-ear headband made with chenille stems (craft wire)

With just chenille stems (pipe cleaners), you can easily make a headband! Take the pipe cleaner that will form the base, run it through your fingers to add a curve, and round off both ends so no wire sticks out.
Fold another pipe cleaner in half to make an ear, then simply wrap the extra length (the part that isn’t the ear) around the base.
Since you only need one material and hand strength, even children can safely enjoy making headbands.
Change the shape or color to make bunny or dog ears! They’re perfect for headbands to wear at kindergarten plays and other performances.
Transform into a rabbit with a paper cup

Let’s make a bunny ear headband using paper cups! First, draw two vertical lines on each side of the paper cup.
Make each strip about 3 cm wide.
Cut along those lines, and on just one of the strips, cut off the rim.
Do the same with another paper cup, then overlap the parts where you cut off the rims and tape them together.
Next, trim the back portions of the cups that remain at the front and back, and you’ll have the base of the headband and the ear sections.
Round off the ear shapes, make slightly smaller inner ears from pink construction paper and glue them on, then attach rubber bands to both ends of the base.
It’s done! Hook it over your ears to wear it.
Bunny ears made with origami

This is a bunny-ear headband made with origami.
You’ll need three sheets of origami paper of the same size and one elastic cord for the band part.
Its hallmark is the perky, upright bunny ears, but there are quite a few folding steps, so it might be difficult for children to make.
Have an adult do the folding and give it as a gift to your child.
Choose the color of the origami to match the color of the bunny ears you want to make.
If you want white ears, you can use the back side of the paper.
Since it’s made of paper, be careful not to get it wet when wearing it outdoors.
Make using a towel

Let’s make fluffy and cute bunny ears using a face towel.
First, cut the towel following an ear pattern and make four identical pieces.
Next, sew them together in pairs, leaving about 2 cm unsewn at the bottom, then slip them over wire shaped like ears.
Cut the wire so that it extends slightly beyond the covered ear.
Wrap the wire around a simple headband (like one from a dollar store) and secure it with a glue gun.
Attach the bottom parts of the ears you left open earlier by wrapping them around the headband as well.
Your bunny ear headband is now complete.
Since the wire is bendable, feel free to shape the ears however you like.
