[For Kids] Handmade Snowman Craft Ideas! (11–20)
Snowman made with a towel

Here’s a craft idea for making a fluffy snowman using a square hand towel.
First, fold the towel into thirds and roll it up into a cylinder.
Tie the middle of the cylinder with a hair elastic, then add a ribbon of your choice over it to create the snowman’s body.
Next, let’s make a hat for the snowman.
Cut a sock or leg warmer to form a tube, turn it inside out, tie one end with a hair elastic, then turn it right side out to make a knit cap.
You can also add a yarn pom-pom if you like.
Finally, decorate the snowman’s face with sticker decorations and you’re done.
Some parts require a bit of fine work, but the steps are simple overall, so it’s a craft idea that kids can enjoy too.
Snowman made from empty lactic acid bacteria drink containers

This is a fluffy snowman made using a 7.5 cm lactic acid drink container and quilt batting.
First, wrap the quilt batting around the container.
Next, tie a scarf made from bundled yarn around the indented section to complete the snowman’s body.
Then, use a toilet paper roll and yarn to make the hat.
Wrapping the yarn around the toilet paper roll is a repetitive process, but it isn’t complicated, so children should find it easy to do.
Finally, use rhinestone stickers to make the face, and it’s done.
Try making it with an adult helping at key points, such as when wrapping the quilt batting.
Easy-to-make pom-pom snowman

Here’s a cute snowman idea you can easily make using only items from a 100-yen shop.
The materials are pom-pom balls, pipe cleaners, and decorative tape.
First, use a hot glue gun to attach two pom-pom balls together, then wrap a pipe cleaner around the snowman’s neck to make a scarf.
Next, wrap a pipe cleaner around the tip of a ballpoint pen or any cone-shaped object to form a pointy hat, trim off the excess pipe cleaner, and attach it with the glue gun.
Finally, stick on decorative tape and add the snowman’s eyes to finish! It’s super easy to make and very cute, so I highly recommend it.
If children are making it, please be careful when handling the hot glue gun.
Snowman made with a milk/juice carton

Here’s a fun idea for a snowman coin bank made by turning a milk carton inside out.
First, knead the carton to soften it, then slowly push out the bottom bit by bit as you turn it inside out.
It’s stiff, so take your time.
Once you shape it like a snowman, tape the bottom to secure it.
Next, make the face and decorate it freely—use an empty yogurt cup for a hat and yarn for a scarf, for example! Glue everything on, and once it’s dry, it’s done.
You can display it as a figurine as is, or since the inside is hollow, cut a slit in the back to insert coins and turn it into an adorable piggy bank.
Hanging ornament of a snowman

Let’s introduce a perfect snowman craft for the cold winter.
Prepare construction paper, straws, and thread.
Draw and cut about four circles of different sizes on white construction paper to make the base of the snowman.
Cut each part so that you have two of each piece.
Next, thread the cut straws and circles onto the thread to form the snowman’s body.
For the face, use colored pens to draw any expression you like.
When the mobile snowman moves, its body spins, and you can enjoy snowmen with different shapes and expressions.
In conclusion
We introduced some snowman craft ideas—so many fun ones! We shared a variety, from decorations you can make and display to ideas that are useful in daily life.
Try making the snowman projects that kids will be excited to create, and enjoy crafting together!
