[For High School Students] Recreational Activities That the Whole Grade or Class Can Enjoy Together (31–40)
Escape from the Desert

This is a consensus game with the scenario: your plane has made an emergency landing in a desert where only cacti grow.
You have 12 items, such as a flashlight, a compass, a plastic rain poncho, and an aerial photo map.
Rank these items in order of importance.
First, think individually, then discuss within your group.
Consider detailed conditions—like temperatures exceeding 40°C and the nearest settlement being over 100 km away—as you work toward the optimal solution.
Dragon Quest Dodgeball

This is a game that adds role-playing elements, like those in the Dragon Quest series, to dodgeball, where the goal is to hit opponents with the ball.
Each team has exactly one King, and the other members are assigned different roles.
While making full use of the abilities tied to each role, players aim to protect their own team’s King and defeat the opposing team’s King.
Since players also discuss how to use their abilities during the game, judging the right timing for actions may be crucial.
Air-reading game

Let’s read the room so we don’t overlap with our friends! Here’s an idea for a “reading the room” game.
It’s a unique game that helps elementary school students develop the ability to act while watching the timing and what’s happening around them.
In a group of 4–5 players sitting in a circle, you take turns standing up while calling out numbers.
The rule is simple, but what matters is avoiding overlapping timing with your friends.
Through the game, kids can build awareness of others and quick decision-making skills.
The atmosphere is tense at the start, but when two people stand up at the same time, everyone can’t help bursting into laughter!
softball

If we’re talking about sports that everyone kind of knows, baseball comes to mind, and softball is a game you can enjoy with similar rules.
While baseball uses a hard ball, softball uses a softer ball, which gives it a more casual, approachable feel.
There are differences in the finer rules, and those can be tricky, but let’s strike a good balance based on what the participants prefer.
It’s important for the participants to establish clear rules among themselves and to keep an eye on each other, including those around them.
Drawing Telephone Game

Form small teams, and the first person listens to the prompt.
Instead of words, they draw an illustration of the prompt and pass it to the next person.
The next person interprets the theme from the previous drawing and conveys it to the following person with another illustration.
The team that correctly transmits the original theme all the way to the last person wins.
The different drawing styles, shapes, and colors are sure to make it lively! It’s recommended to choose themes that are as simple and easy to understand as possible.

shoot relay
https://www.tiktok.com/@bbooks1/video/7280150697369193735Here’s a shoot relay that lets you have fun while moving your body.
Divide into teams of about three people.
Each player grabs a basketball and sprints at full speed to the marker line.
Next, dribble with your right hand and run to the line, then dribble with your left hand and run to the line.
Finally, dribble while alternating between your right and left hands and take a shot at the basket.
Stay focused all the way until you make your shot! The team that sinks their shot first wins.
Give it a try!
Co-op Challenge

Let me introduce cooperative challenge games that multiple people can enjoy.
First is a layup shoot game where everyone makes consecutive shots into a basketball hoop.
Dribbling while shooting really heightens the tension, doesn’t it? Next is the badminton basket catch game, where you catch badminton shuttlecocks with a basket.
Work together as a team to succeed.
In the paper airplane challenge, everyone must consecutively fly their planes 2 meters.
If even one person’s plane doesn’t make it, you start over.
How you fold the paper airplane is a key factor, too.
Give it a try!
