Music, Dance, and Rhythm Activities (1–10)
The ‘Aru-aru Nai-nai’ game

A rhythm game that requires no preparation.
First, pick a topic, then take turns saying common “relatable” observations about it.
If you think an observation is true, say “Aru-aru” (relatable); if you think it’s wrong, say “Nai-nai” (not relatable).
If opinions are split, the minority loses.
Keep a quick tempo and the energy will keep rising.
It’s especially fun if you choose someone nearby or someone in the group as the topic!
USA game

This is a fun recreation game that uses DA PUMP’s song “U.S.A.,” which became a huge hit in 2018.
The rule is to change the chorus “Come on, baby, U.S.A.” to “Come on, baby, ___” and then fill in the blank with a common ‘relatable’ scenario.
You’ll get a lot of laughs—even the kind of “Is that really relatable?” moments will hype things up.
Everyone should clap along and enjoy playing to the rhythm.
If you can’t keep the beat, you’re out!
Lavinute to the Future Game

The comedy duo 2700 created a game called “Rabinyu To the Future Game.” Since they’re a duo who made it big with rhythm-based bits, it’s a game you play while keeping the rhythm, and the response changes depending on the word that follows “Rabinyu To the…” If it’s “Future,” you say “Slowly”; if it’s “Fashion,” you say “Action”; if it’s “Party,” everyone plays air guitar together.
When someone says, “That was a nice guitar sound, right?” everyone replies, “Totally, that’s so true!” But the caller carefully watches those replies and picks the person who seems the least like they actually think, “That’s so true,” and that person loses the game.
Ses-ses-say-ya game

Here’s an original game that uses a rhythm bit created by the popular comedy duo, Shimofuri Myojo.
Using the rhythm of “Se-se-seiya,” you give your opponent a prompt, and they respond with an image or idea phrased like Soshina’s signature tsukkomi retort.
It’s upbeat and sure to get everyone excited, but be warned—if you lose, a penalty like a finger flick awaits.
And don’t forget to strike the classic “Se-se-seiya pose,” of course!
High School Girls’ Grilled Kalbi Game

They’re playing the “Aburi Karubi Game” around the table.
Keeping time with claps, each person says “aburi karubi” in turn and passes it to the next person in rhythm.
If you’re watching, try saying “aburi karubi” once yourself! It’s pretty tough, isn’t it… And the number of times you have to say it keeps increasing.
Still, isn’t it funny when people trip over their words?
Ritz Fighter

A popular game for head-to-head battles is Ritz Fighter.
The rules are simple: you stuff Ritz crackers into your mouth all at once, and whoever finishes eating first wins.
Imagine it for a moment—Ritz crackers suck the moisture out of your mouth, right? That difficulty is what makes the game fun.
Try putting about five crackers in your mouth per person as a guideline.
Of course, drinking water partway through is not allowed.
That said, please only try it within a safe and reasonable limit.
Dancing Gesture Game

Are you familiar with the “Dancing Gesture Game”? In this game, the clue-giver dances to music playing through their earphones, and the watchers have to guess the song title just by watching.
However, the watchers can’t hear the music and must make their guess by watching the person dance in silence.
Also, if the song has an existing choreography, the clue-giver must not use it and instead convey the song with a completely original dance.
It’s a pretty challenging game, but choosing hit songs will likely make it even more exciting!
