Aim for a high score! A collection of easy-to-sing karaoke songs recommended for high school students
When karaoke has a scoring feature, you can’t help wanting to go for a high score, right?
I’m sure many of you enjoy competing for high scores with your friends.
This time, for high school students who love karaoke, I’ve selected some songs that seem relatively easy to sing and good for aiming at high scores.
The key to getting a high score at karaoke is, above all else, to memorize the melody and rhythm (note values) accurately!
If you want to aim for a high score, listen closely to the guide melody, memorize it, and then try singing.
If you’re thinking, “There’s no way I can memorize all that,” one trick might be to turn up the guide melody volume so it’s easier to hear while you sing.
Some of the individual song introduction articles also include advice specifically for getting high scores, so be sure to use this article as a reference and get a leg up on your friends!

Aim for a high score! A roundup of easy-to-sing karaoke songs recommended for high school students (81–90)
Strangerstuki.

The A and B verses sit around F#3 and are quite low, but if you can get through that part, the rest is in a key that should be comfortable for many female singers, so it’s easier to keep pitch and aim for a perfect score.
According to records from June 2025, the average JOYSOUND karaoke scoring for this song is about 90.51.
I think the key to scoring 90 or above is stability in the low notes! Be mindful not to let your pitch drop too much on the low notes that come after the A, B, and bridge sections.
For the chorus, singing with clear accents makes it easier to lock into the rhythm, so that might work well!
AriaAina ji Endo

Aina the End is known for her husky, slightly nasal voice, but if you’re not used to this singing style, imitating it can make it very difficult to stay on pitch.
To score 100 points, first focus on matching the pitch accurately using a voice that’s natural and comfortable for you.
At the end of the C melody, there’s a high note at C5; make sure to take a breath mid-phrase and place the note properly.
Also, the chorus uses a lot of scoops as a technique, but you don’t need to worry about that at first.
Start by getting familiar with the melody!
Precious LoveEXILE ATSUSHI

Released in October 2014 as ATSUSHI from EXILE’s sixth single.
I imagine many of you thought, “Huh? Isn’t it hard to score high with this song?” But if you listen closely, it’s built on a very straightforward, easy-to-understand melody, so there’s nothing to fear! The tempo also makes it easy to sing and great for aiming at a high score, so definitely give it a try.
To match ATSUSHI’s expressive power, you’ll need to master falsetto and mixed voice; for now, accurately tracing the song and achieving a high score is a good first goal.
After that, you can focus on vocal tone and expressive delivery as your next step.
It’s a song that lets you enjoy the process of mastering it.
Loop & LoopASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION

Songs that don’t suddenly speed up or slow down are easier to sing, right? When the tempo is mostly steady, you’re less likely to mess up the lyrics, and it’s easier to stay on pitch.
With that in mind, I recommend “Loop & Loop” by ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION.
Masafumi Gotoh’s vocals are mostly in his natural chest voice, so I think it’s very comfortable for men to sing.
The tempo stays fairly consistent through the verses and the chorus, and there’s no key change in the chorus, which also makes it easier to sing.
Fortune Cookie in LoveAKB48

It’s AKB48’s huge hit that needs no introduction.
Released in August 2013 as AKB’s 32nd single.
Many of you probably sang it with friends at school and had a great time.
The composition is a textbook example of a modern idol song: an easy-to-sing melody paired with memorable lyrics, making it very easy to learn and sing.
It’s practically the perfect model for aiming for a high score, so sing it together and go for that top score! To keep the rhythm from getting flat, listen closely to the backing karaoke and sing with a good groove.
