Aim for a high score! A collection of easy-to-sing karaoke songs recommended for high school students
When karaoke has a scoring feature, you can’t help wanting to go for a high score, right?
I’m sure many of you enjoy competing for high scores with your friends.
This time, for high school students who love karaoke, I’ve selected some songs that seem relatively easy to sing and good for aiming at high scores.
The key to getting a high score at karaoke is, above all else, to memorize the melody and rhythm (note values) accurately!
If you want to aim for a high score, listen closely to the guide melody, memorize it, and then try singing.
If you’re thinking, “There’s no way I can memorize all that,” one trick might be to turn up the guide melody volume so it’s easier to hear while you sing.
Some of the individual song introduction articles also include advice specifically for getting high scores, so be sure to use this article as a reference and get a leg up on your friends!

Aim for High Scores! Karaoke Songs That Are Easy for High Schoolers to Sing (91–100)
Agari Sagari feat. R-Shitei & CHEHONSPICY CHOCOLATE

Reggae DJ CHEHON.
Lately he’s been actively appearing in MC battles, so his recorded tracks are getting attention again.
One of the works featuring the resurgent CHEHON together with rapper R-Shitei is “Agari Sagari feat.
R-Shitei & CHEHON.” CHEHON’s verse is extremely cool, yet also catchy, so even people who aren’t good at singing should be able to handle it without any problem.
R-Shitei’s verse is also far less difficult compared to tracks like “Nariwai,” so if you’re into Black culture, definitely give it a try.
Sun of Lovekururi

A single by Quruli released in March 2023.
It was pre-released in February and was also chosen as the theme song for the Netflix film “Call Me Chihiro.” It’s a simple, medium-tempo pop-rock song that’s very easy to groove to.
The vocal melody line is also very straightforward and easy to hum, so it should be relatively manageable for anyone to shoot for a perfect 100 at karaoke.
Listen closely to the original, study where to sustain notes, where to cut them off, and how to do so, and give that perfect score a try.
The First NightYorushika

Released in April 2023, this is a single by Yorushika, a Japanese male–female rock duo consisting of composer n-buna and vocalist suis.
It’s a very heartrending and beautiful ballad built around a piano-centered backing track.
Despite being an excellent piece, the vocal melody doesn’t span a particularly wide range, and the melody itself is relatively simple, making it one of the best choices if you want to aim for a high score at karaoke.
Since the song is sung gently overall, almost like a whisper, be careful not to let your singing get rough—cherish each word of the lyrics and sing with care.
milk teaFukuyama Masaharu

This is Masaharu Fukuyama’s 21st single, released in May 2006.
Prior to its release, starting in April 2006, it was used as the theme song for the TBS variety show “Koisuru Hanikami!” It’s a relaxed ballad with a pleasant acoustic guitar sound.
From a vocal melody standpoint, there aren’t any particularly tricky or difficult parts for karaoke, but because the tempo is slow, be careful not to get ahead of the beat—avoid what’s commonly called singing ‘in front of the beat.’ Also, since the overall vocal melody sits relatively low, try to place the voice toward the back molars of your lower jaw and sing with a chest voice (resonating in the chest cavity).
That should help you reproduce a vibe close to the original.
Give it a try.
road; way; path; street; route; Tao (in philosophy)EXILE

EXILE’s 23rd single, released in February 2007.
It’s a fairly challenging song—if you aim to sing it properly, mastering correct mixed voice is essential.
However, since karaoke scoring systems can’t yet evaluate vocal production, this song’s memorable melody and relative ease of singing should still let you aim for a high score.
Some parts of the B melody, around just before the chorus, are a bit tricky, so make sure to learn and understand them thoroughly before singing.
Among EXILE’s songs, this one is relatively easy to sing, but if you sing only with your mouth and not proper support, it won’t sound as cool as the original and you may strain your throat, so if possible, learn correct vocal technique before performing it.
