“Tenbyō no Uta,” which drew attention for its featuring with Mrs.

GREEN APPLE.

This song also has a solo version by Sonoko Inoue, included on her 2019 album “Shiro to Iroiro.” While many summer songs are upbeat tracks that pair well with blue skies, this one is a ballad that gently sings of tender feelings of love.

It conveys the emotions of both a man and a woman like an exchange of hearts, expressing the anxieties that arise precisely because they care so much.

If a couple in love listens to it together, it will surely resonate deeply with both of them.

It’s a classic song that layers a bittersweet love over a starry sky.

Released in September 2005, it was also used as the image song for the TBS drama “Boys Over Flowers.” Ai Otsuka’s clear, transparent voice gently embraces the feelings of longing for someone far away.

Included on the albums “LOVE COOK” and “Ai am BEST,” it has been cherished for many years.

It’s perfect for an autumn night, listening while gazing up at the stars.

The summer you gave meieiri reo

A female singer-songwriter, Leo Ieiri, who has been exposed to music such as piano and choral singing since childhood and has continued vigorous musical activities since moving to Tokyo alone as a teenager, released this as her 10th single.

Chosen as the theme song for the TV drama “Koinaka,” the track won the Best Drama Song at the 86th The Television Drama Academy Awards.

Even if the tomorrow you hope for never comes, the summer memories that surely existed may be a story that resonates precisely because you’re a high schooler caught between childhood and adulthood.

With its lyrical melody, it’s a summer song that evokes the poignant memories of summer and a beautiful sense of melancholy.

Kenshi Yonezu has now become one of Japan’s leading artists.

Among his songs, a particularly recommended summer tune is Umi no Yuurei (Spirits of the Sea).

Songs about the ocean often have a lively, upbeat image, but true to its title featuring “ghosts,” this track carries a slightly wistful tone.

Its poignant sound evokes a nostalgic image of summer.

Summer of UniformsMayo Okamoto

It’s a fresh, bittersweet song by Mayo Okamoto that unfolds scenes of youth before your eyes—summer sunshine and the sea glimpsed from the window of a swaying train.

It delivers the thrill we felt rushing around in our school uniforms, carried by a crisp acoustic sound.

The quickening heartbeat for the person who just happened to sit beside you, the wordless, frustrating feelings—don’t they overlap with the precious memories everyone keeps tucked away inside? When you want to linger in the shining memories of your school days, why not gently open the album of your heart with this song?

A four-piece rock band, RADWIMPS, whose wide-ranging expressive power—from film scores to complex rock tunes—has been drawing attention, releases their first-ever EP.

The song, featured in an Apple Music commercial, opens with a crystal-clear intro of piano and choral work that feels so pleasant.

Its message—let’s enjoy summer in our own way, even as times and circumstances change—conveys the preciousness found where the fleeting and the universal intersect.

It’s a perfect number for the limited season of a high school summer, evoking both the freshness and the wistfulness of the season.
