Youth and youth and youthaimyon

A singer-songwriter who’s garnered broad support for her quality, acoustic-guitar–driven melodies, Aimyon.
“Seishun to Seishun to Seishun,” included as the B-side to her major-label third single “Kimi wa Rock wo Kikanai,” features lyrics that evocatively conjure up the summer of one’s youth, just as the title suggests.
Its simple melody and relaxed tempo make it easy to sing at karaoke, but if you focus on riding the bounce of the shuffle beat, you can capture the original feel.
With strings adding a sense of transparency to the ensemble, it’s a refreshing pop tune.
summer hazeatarayo

Atarayo’s “Natsugasumi” is poignant for its unfulfilled promise—“the vow of eternity made beneath the fireworks.” Released in 2021 as a digital-only single, it’s also included on their first album, The Moon Remains Silent in the Polar Night.
The lyrics are emotional and heartrending, recalling the ordinary days spent with you while mourning that summer we can never return to.
It’s a quintessential Atarayo track, fitting for a band often called “the group that grows by feeding on sorrow.”
Lovers’ Fireworksmatsuri feat. enu

Gokko Club produces vertical short dramas.
Based on the script of their original short drama “Blooming in Yawatahama,” the song “Koinaka Hanabi” is an irresistibly heartrending yet beautiful piece.
Released in 2022 by singer-songwriter Matsuri from Yamanashi Prefecture, the track features fellow singer-songwriter enu.
Their voices blend seamlessly, conjuring bittersweet scenes of fireworks so vividly that you’ll find yourself on the verge of tears.
Gate of GloryHirai Dai

Dai Hirai’s “Eikou no Tobira” (The Door to Glory) is a perfect song for summer, and it was even chosen as a cheer song for high school baseball.
His powerful vocals—distinctive for their unique tone that can almost sound like English—convey a sense of determination heading into the season.
The arrangement and lyrics gradually build from a gentle atmosphere to greater intensity, evoking the image of high school baseball players and expressing the desire to make summer something special.
It’s a song that carries passionate feelings within its calmness, and it lifts the spirit for summer across generations.

More than friendsShimizu Shota

This song, sung by singer-songwriter Shota Shimizu, tells the story of a one-sided love set in summer.
As the title “More than friends” suggests, the boy in the lyrics has fallen for a girl who’s his friend.
They’re very close and naturally spend a lot of time together, but he’s the only one who’s aware of her as the opposite sex.
That’s why being together makes his chest ache, and even if he wants to confess his feelings, he doesn’t think he can express them well.
It’s a heartbreakingly helpless kind of love that really hits home.
I imagine quite a few people struggled with something similar back in their school days.
Magic hourRyokushokushakai

This song, used as an insert track for the drama “Midsummer Cinderella,” is a summer love song by Ryokuoushoku Shakai that layers fireworks over feelings of love.
It has an atmosphere that evokes the bittersweetness of late summer, doesn’t it? In the lyrics, there’s a straightforward sentiment: “I’ll accept you in any form, like the water’s surface reflecting fireworks.” There are many other evocative expressions that intertwine love and fireworks, so be sure to listen closely while reading the lyrics.
Ponytail and ScrunchieAKB48

It’s one of AKB48’s hit songs, “Ponytail to Shushu.” Released in 2010 as their 16th single, it’s remained a beloved signature track ever since.
Its bright, fast-paced melody and lyrics packed with youthful spirit are the main appeal.
The summery vibe that radiates through the whole song is powerful enough to blow the heat away.
Sing it with all your friends at karaoke and the place is sure to go wild!
