Himuro made his solo debut in July 1988, just three months after BOØWY disbanded, and he has continued his solo career ever since.
His straightforward rock sound and refreshing vocals are captivating, and he continues to enchant many fans today.
Interestingly, before forming BOØWY, Himuro was about to quit music and return to his hometown, but just before leaving, he saw an RC Succession concert and became determined to continue with music.

These are the words spoken by Kyosuke Himuro, the vocalist of the legendary rock band BOØWY, which disbanded in 1987, during the MC at their “’GIGS’ JUST A HERO TOUR 1986” performance at Nippon Budokan.

The piece he created for Kanebo’s Autumn ’89 promotion is “MISTY ~Bimyo ni~.” It’s crafted as a love song that listeners of any generation can relate to.

It’s a track he wrote specifically for the commercial in which he himself appears, and it’s a message song that sings about the strength to survive with a steady sense of tempo.
It also conveys a subtly mysterious atmosphere and a worldview of pushing past one’s limits.
