Hitorie’s famous and popular songs
HITORIE is a four-piece rock band that made its major debut in 2014 by launching an independent label under Sony.
The guitarist and vocalist is wowaka, who originally worked as a Vocaloid producer under the name ‘Genzōhi Tōhi-P’ (also known as ‘Kagerou Tōhi-P’), and they sometimes perform covers of his songs from that period.
Their sharp guitar riffs leave a strong impression, and the slightly idiosyncratic vocals are also highly captivating.
Hitorie’s Best and Popular Songs (1–10)
Little crybabyHitorie

The lead track “Little Crybaby” from the freshly released third album IKI (December 2016) is a bright and powerful song that shows a new side of Hitorie.
It likens “dreams” to a newborn baby and conveys a forward-looking determination to carry them all the way to fulfillment, no matter what happens.
The undulating bassline in the intro and outro—aiming to be a “singable bass”—is incredibly cool!
One Meets HerHitorie

Released as a single in January 2016, it was chosen as the opening theme for the TV anime Divine Gate.
The title plays on “One meets her” and “One me two heart,” expressing the encounter between two hearts within the single person called “me,” and the realization that they are one.
Throughout, the song features crisp, sharp guitar cutting, making it a cool, satisfying track.
Talkie DanceHitorie

The lead track from the second mini-album Monochrono Entrance, released in July 2015, features a danceable beat just as the title suggests.
The rapid-fire B melody, reminiscent of wowaka’s signature song World’s End Dancehall, is a must-hear.

This is a re-recorded track of “Karano Waremomo,” Hitorie’s very first song, taken from the reissue album released in November 2015, “Room Sick Girls Escape / non-fiction four e.p.” Although the lyrics are composed exclusively of thoroughly abstract words and are extremely difficult to interpret, the melodic tone of the song seems to carry something that moves the listener’s heart.
Antithesis Junk GirlHitorie

It’s the lead track from the major debut mini-album “Imaginary Monofiction,” released in February 2014.
The intro riff is quintessential wowaka, and it’s sure to hit the mark for fans from his Vocaloid producer days.
The lyrics are, as always, abstruse, but with plenty of repetition and rhymes, it’s an easy song to groove to.
PolarisHitorie

It’s a techno-flavored track and the ending theme for the anime NARUTO.
It’s not just that analog synths will continue to be embraced; the song also seems to share the joy of making things ourselves.
This kind of track feels like it has a good tempo to listen to while working.
Senseless WonderHitorie

This is the major debut single released in January 2014.
From the striking intro riff, it’s got Hitorie’s signature style in full force.
What I’d like you to focus on is the lyrics—don’t you feel like you can catch the rhythm just by reading them, with the distinctive commas, quotation marks, and repeated phrases?
