NanoboroAug 30 (Sat) – 31 (Sun), Kyoto Prefecture

Nanoboro Festa is a circuit-style festival held in Kyoto City. Compared to the star-studded lineup, the venues aren’t that large, so the uniquely frenzied atmosphere of the packed stages is addictive once you experience it. It’s also characterized by each performing artist having their own distinct worldview.

Fire of VitalityHokkaido, Sat 8/30 – Sun 8/31

A free outdoor festival held in front of Tomakomai Station in Hokkaido! Kassei no Hi has been running since 2014. Through this music event, we aim to generate vibrancy and revitalize the downtown area around Tomakomai Station. The town center should be a symbol of the city and a source of pride. We hope it becomes a place where everyone can have fun and a spark that gives the younger generation dreams.

RUSH BALLSat 8/30 – Sun 8/31, Osaka Prefecture

RUSH BALL is a summer tradition of Osaka’s rock scene that has been held since 1999. The venue, Izumiotsu Phoenix, faces the sea, where you can feel the ocean breeze, and its sprawling lawns make for an incredibly comfortable festival experience. Wave FestSun, Aug 24 – Ibaraki Prefecture

A music festival held at Toyogahama Sports Park in Kamisu City, Ibaraki Prefecture. It’s driven by the organizers’ desire to foster local growth—thinking it through and creating the best day with their own hands. In addition to great music, there are plenty of food vendors to enjoy.

Hasshoku Summer Free LiveAug 23 (Sat) – 24 (Sun), Aomori Prefecture

Hachishoku Summer Free Live is a free festival held in Aomori Prefecture. The concerts take place on a special stage set up in the parking lot of Hachishoku Center, a large food market in Hachinohe City. Every year the lineup is so impressive it’s hard to believe it’s free, and it feels like a joyful music festival you can simply enjoy—so wonderful. After enjoying the live shows, make sure to pick up plenty of delicious food at Hachishoku Center to take home.

MONSTER baSHSat 8/23 – Sun 8/24, Kagawa Prefecture

MONSTER baSH is an outdoor rock festival that has been held in Kagawa Prefecture since 2000. It’s affectionately known by its nickname, “Monbasu.” Since 2003, the main venues have consisted of two stages: STAGE Kukai and STAGE Ryujin. These two stages are set up side by side, so you can see every act performing on the main stages. There’s also an area at the back of the main stage zone where you can lay down sheets or set up parasols, making it possible to stay comfortable even in the intense heat.
