List of indie festivals nationwide [2026]

Harunone is a spring festival from Osaka where music, pop and subculture, food, and craft and art intersect. The venue is the Osaka-jo Ongakudo, an open-air music hall nestled in Osaka Castle Park, where an open, expansive stage unfolds in the season of fresh greenery. Revived in 2024, it serves as a place to express, to encounter expression, and to learn about expression for people of all generations and values. It will be held during Golden Week in May 2026, when a diverse range of genres resonate together.

“MEMORIES OF THE FUTURE” is an independent outdoor music and food festival that has been running in Osaka since 2013 and will celebrate its 17th edition in 2026. The venue is around the Flowers and Green Square in Suminoe Park, and the all-day event is free to enter. In addition to live performances and DJs spanning a wide range of genres—from rock and jam bands to acoustic, techno, and house—there will also be local food and handmade craft vendors. Scheduled for May 2026.

Pangea EXPO is a circuit-style music event held across the entire area to commemorate the 15th anniversary of the live music venue Pangea, which was founded in 2011 in Osaka’s America-mura. Using multiple nearby venues such as BIGCAT, ANIMA, SUNHALL, and HOKAGE, the event allows attendees to walk around the neighborhood while enjoying performances by a diverse lineup of artists. It is presented by GREENS, a leading live event promoter, with support from FM802. The event will take place on June 13, 2026.
