Become a king.the pillows

The pillows are veteran figures in the alternative rock scene.
Rather than blazing with an aggressive alt-rock sound, their music carries a certain rustic warmth that feels nostalgic, while Sawao Yamanaka’s soulful vocals and guitar deliver an unforgettable, passionate punch.
Formed in 1989, they made their major debut in 1991 with the single “Ame ni Utaeba” (“Singin’ in the Rain”).
Since then, they’ve been active internationally, and each member has pursued other bands and projects as well.
Beloved by fellow artists, in 2004 the members themselves invited musician friends to contribute and produced and released the tribute album “SYNCHRONIZED ROCKERS.”
Highwaykururi

Sayonara Poetry is a rock band from Kobe, Hyogo.
Formed in 2012, they have broadened their activity while establishing a unique style that weaves in emotional elements and post-rock-like developments.
With literary, deeply meaningful lyrics—as heard in songs like “Zensen ni Tsugu” and “Nisoku Sanmon”—and the expressive power to depict everyday anxieties and inner conflicts, they’ve captured the hearts of many listeners.
Their high-energy live performances are another major draw.
If you’re into alternative rock, their music is a must-listen!
Sea and Bouquetkinoko teikoku

Formed in 2007, they began full-scale live performances in 2008.
Influenced by post-rock and shoegaze, they performed mainly in Shimokitazawa and Shibuya.
Their balance of catchiness and underground vibes was truly outstanding.
With beautiful melodies and vocals, they captivated fans, but in 2019, to much regret, they went on hiatus.
DeathparadeSyrup16g

A legendary band that earned high acclaim for introspective, heavy themes such as life and death in their lyrics, and a sound that resonated with Western guitar rock and alternative bands.
In December 2007, they suddenly announced their breakup.
In January 2008, they released their final album, “Syrup16g,” and officially disbanded after their Nippon Budokan concert in March of the same year.

Thinking in Yura Yura Teikokuyurayura teikoku

Yura Yura Teikoku—a band name that even feels a bit cute and makes you want to listen just to find out what kind of songs they play.
Apparently, the name doesn’t have any particular meaning; they just picked the best option from a list of candidates.
Formed in 1989, they made their major debut in 1998 with the album “3×3×3,” and disbanded in 2010.
Their music doesn’t just include intense, hard-hitting tracks—they also drift through playful, humorous songs and sounds that evoke nostalgia, weaving together a variety of tones in a wavering flow.
