Red HotELLEGARDEN

ELLEGARDEN had been on hiatus since 2008.
During that time, the members were active in other bands, and many fans had given up hope for a comeback.
But in 2018, they made a sudden return, and the band—now boasting truly legendary popularity—came back before rock fans once more! While many of their songs can be seen as guitar rock, quite a few are also discussed in the context of melodic hardcore.

You’re going way too fast.GARLIC BOYS

A legendary rock band from Osaka.
Formed in 1985, they made their debut with the 1988 EP “Ninniku Night.” Their notable works include 1991’s “Psycho Thrash” and the 2004 album “Ju (ten).” Their musical style is broad, incorporating everything from thrash punk to melodic hardcore.

Odd Lazy is a rock band from Osaka, formed by Narutomi and Sasuke.
They released their demo “Brilliant edge” in 2020.

The story of how they first formed as a Hi-STANDARD cover band and later released an album on PIZZA OF DEATH is like a dream, isn’t it? Their charm lies in their nostalgic sound and melodies, and the distinctive husky voice of vocalist-guitarist YUTA that brings them to life.

I’M IN DREAMHEY-SMITH

When it comes to bands that thrive in a ska-punk style built on a melodic hardcore base and featuring brass instruments, HEY-SMITH is indispensable! They used to be a typical rock band lineup with trumpet and saxophone added, but after a lineup change in 2015, they now include a trombone player alongside the trumpet and sax.
Shuhei Igari, the guitarist-vocalist who handles most of the songwriting, has deep knowledge across diverse genres and a strong commitment to sound—both major strengths.
