Maegashira is a six-piece band from Hiroshima with a cool, dynamic sound woven by twin vocals and twin guitars.

Formed in 1999, their hallmark is a mixed style rooted in melodic punk while incorporating ska, reggae, and hip-hop.

In 2003, their album “FLOWER” reached No.

25 on the Oricon Indies chart, and they sold out 2,000 demo CDs by hand in their hometown.

Their freewheeling musicality and energetic live performances are their biggest draw.

If someone asked, “What band comes to mind from Okinawa?” many people would probably name this band.

Following Hi-Standard, they helped bring the melodic hardcore genre to a wider audience and are one of the essential bands in Japan’s rock scene.

Their masterpiece MESSAGE, which includes ‘Chiisana Koi no Uta’ and ‘Anata ni,’ is an album that every J-rock fan has likely heard.

Their biggest appeal lies in their catchy, singable songs packed with messages that hit you straight in the heart.

Formed in 2015, they’ve grown rapidly, even performing at major festivals in Japan! Their lyrics—written in natural, everyday Japanese that paints daily scenes—resonate deeply and add color to listeners’ lives.

A three-piece band blazing out of Nagoya, Aichi, LEGAL RUSH is a melodic punk band formed in 2018.

Their appeal lies in a high-velocity sound and emotional melodies.

They made their nationwide debut with their first mini-album “uprising 052,” released in August 2022, and followed up with their second mini-album “MAGIC HOUR” in September 2023.

Their talent was recognized early on, including being selected as a venue representative artist at the 2019 music event Mudia.

In December 2023, they disbanded to much regret.

Rather than becoming rigid, their musical flexibility has turned into a unique identity—and a major strength.
