Invisible SensationUNISON SQUARE GARDEN

A quintessentially challenging song by UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, characterized by a wide vocal range and a sense of speed.
The overall range spans F3 to C5, fitting the typical UNISON range.
Since it’s an anime opening, it starts right from the chorus and maintains a high level of intensity throughout.
When singing it, rhythm and breath management are the most important points.
Also, because there are fast passages and sections with lots of words even in the chorus, the trick is to avoid enunciating too sharply.
If you struggle with high notes, focus on diaphragmatic breathing and core engagement; you should gradually be able to hit higher notes.
It requires repeated practice, so don’t get discouraged and keep at it!
StardomKing Gnu

King Gnu is known for having many difficult songs.
While the general public often says songs with lots of high notes—like “Hakujitsu”—are hard, that particular track isn’t too difficult as long as you can hit the falsetto.
But “Stardom” is different.
It features a wide range of vocal techniques within a single song, from intense, shout-infused sections to delicate parts centered on mixed voice.
If songs that are merely high don’t satisfy you, give this one a try.

DIGNITYAdo

This is Ado’s 19th digital-only single, released in September 2023.
It was chosen as the theme song for the film The Silent Service, which premiered in September 2023.
By the way, the songwriting was handled by B’z members Inaba and Matsumoto.
If you want to recreate this song in karaoke, the most important point is how well you can reproduce Ado’s own dynamic vocal style.
Even in the quieter sections, keep your voice steady and confident; and in the high notes like the chorus, be careful not to tighten your throat and produce a thin, constricted tone.
poofKing Gnu

King Gnu is a band that has gained popularity for its highly original musicality.
While they have many stylish tracks, they’re also known for having a lot of difficult songs.
Among them, the one I especially recommend is Doron.
Known as the theme song for the film Stolen Identity 2 (literally: I Just Dropped My Smartphone: Captive Murderer), this track has a gritty atmosphere and a fairly wide vocal range spanning from mid1 A# to hi A#.
On top of that, the melodic leaps are quite intense, but the most challenging parts are the chorus and the C section.
When the chorus and C section hit, the tempo jumps up at once, leaving few breathing points; combined with the drastic pitch movements, it becomes extremely difficult to stay on pitch.
Chaos reaches its peakUNISON SQUARE GARDEN

UNISON SQUARE GARDEN is a band that enjoys immense popularity in the anisong scene.
If you like anime, you’ve probably heard their songs at least once.
Among their tracks, the one I especially recommend as a challenging piece is “Chaos ga Kiwamaru” (“Chaos Reaches Its Peak”).
This song covers a wide vocal range from mid1E to hiC, and, true to UNISON SQUARE GARDEN’s style, features intense pitch shifts up and down.
Except for the part at the end of the chorus, most of it is built around high tones, making it a demanding song in terms of vocal stamina.
I meet peopleMrs. GREEN APPLE

A song by Mrs.
GREEN APPLE, included on their first mini-album “Progressive,” released in February 2015.
By the way, the title is apparently pronounced “Gahōjin.” As for Mrs.
GREEN APPLE, first and foremost, vocalist Mr.
Omori’s singing voice contains a great deal of high-order overtones, and that alone may make many people feel there’s a high hurdle to singing this song at karaoke.
On top of that, Omori also has a very wide range of vocal expression, so to reproduce this track as in the original, you’ll need to switch between various vocal techniques and have the ability to understand the song well and express it solidly.
If you’re confident in your singing, definitely give it a try!
ValueAdo

Ado’s hit song “Value.” Compared to her other tracks, this one has a slightly softer feel.
It might not seem that difficult, but it’s actually more challenging than “Show.” The main reason is the sheer amount of falsetto.
You’ll need a wide range of falsetto techniques: falsetto sung in the low range, falsetto in the high range, and even falsetto lines that glide upward in pitch.
It’s an extremely demanding song—give it a try if you’re up for the challenge.
