Call meNovelbright

Although they’re a rock band, Novelbright also enjoys idol-like popularity.
Among both men and women—especially those in their teens to early twenties—many are likely fans.
Their new song “Call me” has a very refreshing melody.
While it’s pleasant to listen to, it’s quite difficult to sing: in the repeated chorus section, a falsetto close to a mixed voice appears.
For men with a typical vocal range, the high-tone phrase sits around hi D#—a pitch that’s very prone to cracking—so if you’re confident in your high notes, definitely give it a try.
Fantastic MagicTK from RIN TO SHITE SIGURE

TK from Ling tosite sigure is known for having many difficult high-tone phrases.
Every piece could be called a tough song, but the one I especially recommend as a particularly challenging track is Fantastic Magic.
The hardest part of this song is, without a doubt, the chorus.
Its range is mid1E to hiG#, which is still more manageable compared to unravel, but the chorus in this song sits almost entirely at hiE and above.
Because the chorus is composed almost entirely of high tones, by the time you finish singing it, the strain on your temples and throat will be tremendous—but do give it a try.
Love song foreverVaundy

Singer-songwriter Vaundy is known for his wide-ranging musical style.
His track “Zutto Love Song,” released in August 2025, has garnered fervent support from fans.
The song leans toward a rock sound with a hint of Showa-era flavor, featuring distinctly Japanese phrases reminiscent of kayōkyoku.
While the piece isn’t consistently difficult throughout, the B-melody includes a section with pronounced pitch jumps, so you’ll need to be careful not to go off pitch there.
That said, the B-melody itself is very catchy and easy to sing, so if you’re confident in your pitch sense, be sure to give it a try.

MY LIFELANA

LANA, the sister of popular rapper LEX, is an R&B singer who’s gained recognition for her exceptional vocal ability.
Her vocals, born from a husky tone, are highly acclaimed within the industry.
Among her tracks, the one I especially recommend is “MY LIFE.” As a full-fledged R&B song, it features numerous instances of advanced techniques like vocal runs and ad-libs.
It demands a challenging, foreign-style approach to singing, so definitely give it a try.
globeYonezu Kenshi

It’s the 14th single by singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu, released in July 2023.
It was reportedly written as the theme song for the film “The Boy and the Heron,” a feature-length work directed by Hayao Miyazaki.
The song is a beautifully crafted slow-to-mid-tempo piece, with an arrangement centered on acoustic piano that pairs exquisitely with Yonezu’s vocals.
The vocal melody spans a notably wide range, and Yonezu masterfully expresses this challenging line—shifting seamlessly from a deeply resonant low register to powerful high notes in chest voice, and gentle high tones in falsetto—tailoring his delivery to each scene and phrase of the song.
It’s a track that demands a fairly high level of skill to sing at karaoke, but if you’re confident in your singing, definitely give it a try!
B2B feat. Benjazzy & BonberoBAD HOP

The masterpiece “B2B feat.
Benjazzy & Bonbero” pairs Benjazzy, who boasts top-tier skills in BAD HOP, with Bonbero, a next-generation rapper known for elite-level prowess.
Their rapping, standing at the forefront of contemporary Japanese hip-hop, is breathtaking and has earned extremely high industry acclaim.
This track is also exceptionally difficult by hip-hop standards.
Benjazzy’s wildly dynamic flows with extreme pitch range and Bonbero’s intricate patterns that impress even the fastest rappers make it extraordinarily challenging.
If you’re confident in your rapping, give it a try.
Fu re te Fu re ruTK from RIN TO SHITE SIGURE
The B-side to “unravel,” which could be called TK’s signature song, is actually “Fu re te Fu re ru.” It features even higher tones and more falsetto fireworks than “unravel,” and it’s a song I absolutely love—I sing it at karaoke all the time.
Rather than a clean falsetto, TK’s falsetto pierces like a cry, so unless you can naturally hit high notes, it’s quite a tough song to pull off.
That said, it’s an incredibly cool track, and singing it might help you train your high range! It’s fine to start with a weak falsetto.
The idea is to repeatedly practice using your breath and gradually build your explosiveness over time.
