Snug Little Caterpillar

No.092 “Snug Little Caterpillar♪” [Handmade Toy by a Nursery Teacher]
Snug Little Caterpillar

Let me introduce the Peekaboo Caterpillar that pops out when it sticks with a magnet.

Have the children help by threading pipe cleaners through the holes you make in the decorative balls with an awl.

They can create an original look by choosing the color order of the decorative balls, too.

Cut a plastic wrap tube into different lengths to make cylinders, then cover the outside with construction paper.

Stand the tubes upright on the construction paper, arrange them, and use glue to attach and secure them so they won’t fall over.

Put a magnet into a “Pita” pen (a magnetic pen) to finish—and you’re done! Give it a try!

Origami The Very Hungry Caterpillar

[Origami] Stretchy! How to Fold The Very Hungry Caterpillar
Origami The Very Hungry Caterpillar

Let me show you how to make The Very Hungry Caterpillar with origami.

Prepare six sheets of origami paper and cut them into quarters.

Using the cut pieces, make two types of parts and combine them.

The folding methods are similar, but there are differences, so be careful about the orientation as you fold.

When assembling each part, interlock them so that the two types alternate.

The key is to combine them in order without mixing up the sequence or the parts.

Kids will be delighted when the caterpillar wiggles and squirms when you hold it!

Advancing Hoo-Hoo Caterpillar

[Craft Play 056] How to Make a Huff-and-Puff Caterpillar – a toy that moves forward when you blow on it from above
Advancing Hoo-Hoo Caterpillar

Let me introduce the “Puff-Puff Caterpillar” that moves when you blow on it from above.

Prepare a felt-tip pen, scissors, and a sheet of origami paper, and let’s make it.

Take one half of the origami paper and fold it in half three times.

Using scissors, round off both ends of the folded strip.

Open it up fully, then firmly crease along the folds as mountain and valley folds.

Draw a face with the felt-tip pen, and it’s done! You can change the color of the origami to make different kinds of caterpillars, and it might be fun to hold a caterpillar race and play with them.

Caterpillar Clock

@haruharo_made

Commemoration of Time Day craft / A super-popular The Very Hungry Caterpillar 🐛 clock. We made it with swipe art and a paper plate! Even if you don’t use swipe art, other paint techniques or simply sticking construction paper onto a paper plate look cute, so try arranging it according to the children’s ages! If the kids are doing the gluing, cutting out the center of the paper plate makes it easier to stick things on! [Variations] ● Cut out the center of the paper plate, draw a clock on a construction-paper apple, and attach it with a string to the cut-out part—it will dangle cutely. ★ If you’re adding pipe cleaners, a paper plate or thick cardstock works better; if you use regular construction paper and twist a lot, it may tear.Crafts for 5-year-oldsCrafts for 4-year-olds #3-year-old crafts #2-year-old's craftCrafts for 1-year-olds Crafts for 0-year-oldsProduction Wall decoration#Nursery school Simple craft Production ideas #Nursery School Craft Kindergarten craftPoster Board Craft Nursery teacher / Childcare worker Early childhood education materials #Kindergarten Production in June #May production#Making Play #HomeMaking#Spring crafts#TheVeryHungryCaterpillar

Let me introduce a colorful caterpillar clock.

Prepare construction paper, paints, a sponge, pipe cleaners, round stickers, and a paper plate.

Drip paint onto the construction paper and use the sponge to brush horizontally, blending the colors together.

As the colors mix, you’ll create the caterpillar’s vibrant hues.

Once the paper is dry, cut it into the caterpillar’s body parts.

Attach the head and body pieces you made to the paper plate so there are no gaps.

Then, stick the round number stickers around the plate like a clock face, and use a pipe cleaner in the center to make the clock hands—done! Through this craft, children may also become more interested in clocks and numbers.

Felt ball caterpillar pin

[Easy Craft at Home] Let's Make a Caterpillar Pin
Felt ball caterpillar pin

Let’s make a colorful and cute caterpillar pin using felt balls.

You’ll need scissors, glue, a wooden pin/clip, felt balls, googly-eye stickers, chenille stems (pipe cleaners), sequins, and so on.

First, attach the felt balls to the wooden pin.

A key tip is to let the glue dry slightly before sticking on each piece.

Once that’s done, add the antennae and eyes, and decorate with sequins if you like.

And you’re finished! Besides the caterpillar, you can also use felt balls to make items like dango (dumplings) or fruit, so give those a try too.
