Let’s try making a handmade tambourine with jingling bells.

First, glue circular pieces of construction paper to the front and back surfaces of an empty round cheese box.

Adding masking tape around the side will give it a cute finish.

On the side of the box lid, make holes with an awl or similar tool, matching the number of bells.

Thread string through each bell, then thread the string through the holes in the side of the box and tie to secure.

Finally, tape the box closed so it won’t open, and it’s done.

Since there are many fine tasks, please have the teacher do the assembly.

Enjoy tapping the tambourine to music or shaking it to ring the bells.

Let’s make a lion-themed tambourine! With a cute lion, children will enjoy interacting with the tambourine.

First, prepare four rubber bands, each threaded with a clip.

Next, draw a lion’s face and cut it out with scissors.

Then fold a strip of origami paper in half and attach the rubber bands you prepared.

Glue the lion’s face to the outside of a paper plate, and glue the origami strips with the rubber bands to the inside of another paper plate.

Staple the two plates together and you’re done! You can also customize it by changing the materials you put inside the plates, so it might be fun to make and try different variations.
