Sheer look is so cute! Handprint giftNEW!
Here’s an idea for preserving your child’s growth as a lovely piece of art.
First, place your child’s hand on a clear file and trace the outline.
Flip the clear file over and color in the handprint with a water-based pen in any color you like, then spread glue evenly over it.
Once the glue dries, peel it off the clear file and trim the shape with scissors.
Attach this to the center of a base clear file, and finish by bordering it with gel double-sided tape covered with translucent origami paper.
If you’re giving it as a gift, you can put it in a frame or punch a hole in the base and decorate it with a ribbon.
Paper cup flowers

When it comes to classic Mother’s Day gifts, flowers like carnations are a staple.
How about a flower you can make with just a single paper cup? Cut evenly spaced slits from the rim down toward the bottom.
Then fold each of the resulting fringed strips inward into the cup and secure with tape.
The trick to making it look like petals is to fold each strip at a slight angle.
Once everything is taped down, your paper-cup flower is complete! Add a stem made from a straw to make it look even more like a real flower.
Magnets made from paper clay
https://www.instagram.com/p/Cs-11qELnxc/Why not make a one-of-a-kind paper clay magnet and give it to a parent or guardian? First, use paint and paper clay to create clay in your favorite color, then shape it.
Any shape you like is fine—hearts, stars, and more.
Before the clay dries, use glue to attach beads and sequins and press them in lightly.
If you set up the environment so children can easily turn their ideas into forms, they’ll be able to focus and engage.
Attach a magnet to the back and add a message card, and it’s done! They’ll likely display it in a spot they see every day, like the refrigerator.
Flower Magnet

Stick them on your fridge or whiteboard as decoration! Here are some ideas for flower magnets.
They’re also great as Mother’s Day gifts! You’ll need white drawing paper cut into circles, tissue paper for flowers, two large and two small felt circles, two plastic bottle caps, two magnets, craft glue, vinyl tape, scissors, and glue sticks.
If you draw a portrait of your mom and give it together with the flower magnet, it’s sure to convey your appreciation.
Handmade coaster

Perfect for a Family Day gift! Here are some handmade coaster ideas.
Many preschools and kindergartens may set Family Day as a time to express gratitude not only to moms and dads, but also to the caregivers who spend time with children.
This time, let’s make handmade coasters you can use at home! You’ll need permanent markers, rubbing alcohol or 90% ethanol, tiles, a waterproof finishing spray, and decorative materials like glitter.
Be sure to work indoors in a well-ventilated area with plenty of airflow.
carnation

When it comes to classic flowers to give to a beloved mom on Mother’s Day, carnations are the go-to.
Fresh flowers are, of course, beautiful, but how about sending a handmade carnation? The materials are unique and the method is simple.
Prepare red bento-side-dish cups—these will become the flower.
Next, get green wire for the stem, stack 3–4 cups, and thread the wire stem through the center.
Secure it so the flower won’t slip off the wire, then shape the petals.
A single stem is cute, and bunching several together into a bouquet makes for a lovely carnation arrangement.
Carnation Toy Poodle

When it comes to Mother’s Day, carnations are the first thing that comes to mind, right? So how about making a “Carnation Toy Poodle” with a carnation motif? In this craft, you roll a circular piece of paper cut with a zigzag edge to create a carnation and attach it to the ear part of a toy poodle made from a toilet paper roll.
Cutting the paper into zigzags takes some technique, so using pinking shears will make it smoother.
Depending on the age of the children, it may be best to prepare pre-cut paper in advance.
