Here is the Japanese version of BLACKPINK’s 2017 release “AS IF IT’S YOUR LAST,” from one of the most overwhelmingly popular Korean girl groups.

True to YG Entertainment idols, it’s a top-tier track packed with a unique flair you won’t find in other idol songs and the best of both worlds—members who are cool yet cute.

It’s a song by a charming girl pleading for affectionate love “as if it’s your last.”

It’s a cool, addictive, distinctly YG-style track that makes you think of 2NE1, the senior girl group from YG Entertainment that disbanded in 2016—memorable and something you’ll want to replay.

It gives off the image of slightly rebellious girls, radiating confidence and walking their own path.

The standout elements are the fierce rap and the rich, deep vocals.

They’re also well-known in Japan as Girls’ Generation! This track is authentic dance music that blends upbeat drum’n’bass backing with cute vocals.

It’s fun as a karaoke song too, and it’s both popular and widely recognized!

NEKKOYA(PICK ME)PRODUCE48

PRODUCE 48 is the third season of a popular Korean idol audition program.

Not only Korean trainees but also members from Japan’s AKB Group took part, competing for 11 debut spots.

This song is the assignment used to determine the first rankings, and every trainee participates—it’s an overwhelming performance piece.

The title “Nekkoya” means “It’s Mine.” Viewers can also vote as “national producers,” so while it’s a cute love song saying “Your heart is mine,” it also carries a double meaning of “Please vote for me!” The lyrics mix Japanese and Korean, making it easy to sing, and the difficulty is low, so it’s great for karaoke.

LOVE SCENARIOiKON

iKON – ‘사랑을 했다(LOVE SCENARIO)’ M/V
LOVE SCENARIOiKON

It’s a song that was such a hit in Korea in 2018 that many people said, “I don’t know iKON, but I know this song.” It likens meeting, falling in love, and breaking up with a lover to a scenario the two create together.

While there’s a touch of sadness, it’s also heartwarming.

It’s a comfortable, catchy, and uplifting track, so it’s great for karaoke.

The rap parts take some practice, but the vocal parts are easy to sing and remember.

CASE 143Stray Kids

Stray Kids – CASE 143 -Japanese ver.- / THE FIRST TAKE
CASE 143Stray Kids

Stray Kids is a boys’ group that’s rapidly gaining momentum.

In Japan, they’re affectionately known as “Sukizu” and loved by many female fans.

Among their songs, the one I especially recommend for its singability and crowd-pleasing energy is CASE 143, released in 2022.

While the overall vocal range is quite wide—low G# to high F#—the low notes appear in the rap parts and the high notes only show up in the final chorus, so the basic range isn’t that broad.

The high notes also come after clear rests, so you can prepare and hit them comfortably.

If you’re still unsure, you can sing the high parts an octave lower.
