[2026] Japanese club music. J-DANCE

Broadly speaking, there are two types of clubs in the world.

One type is a club that functions like a community for enjoying specialized music.

The other is a club that plays tracks you can dance to, above all else.

Japan has a particularly well-developed culture of the latter, and club music has consistently been popular since the 1990s.

This time, we’ve picked out the latest tracks from Japan’s club music scene.

We’ve selected from a variety of genres, including EDM and house, so we think even hardcore fans of electronic music will enjoy it.

Please relax and enjoy to the very end!

GeG, a track maker also known as the keyboardist of Hentai Shinshi Club.

The single “EDEN feat.

nishina, Tsubaki,” released under his solo name on September 13, 2023, also drew attention for featuring nishina—who is gaining notice as a new-generation musician—and rapper Tsubaki.

The contrast between the lyrical melody layered over a spacious track and the cool rap, together with the driving beat, really lifts the energy.

It’s a somewhat sentimental number whose dreamy atmosphere pulls you into the song’s world.

J.O.K.E.R.MAZZEL

An ambitious work that fuses sophisticated musicality with dynamic dance performance.

Released by MAZZEL in February 2025, this piece was selected as the official theme song for the Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Breaking World Match 2025.

The lyrics express the importance of staying composed in competitive moments and leveraging one’s strengths, likening them to the Joker—the trump card in playing cards.

Its deep dance-music sound makes you want to move as you listen.

TornadoMIGMA SHELTER

MIGMA SHELTER is an idol group that goes wild dancing to psychedelic trance.

They have announced a trilogy inspired by the classic children’s novel The Wizard of Oz.

The first installment, the single OZ one, was released in April 2023.

Its opening track, Tornado, is a dance tune that, just like a real “tornado,” is sure to whip the floor into a frenzy.

BANVOX – With You (Official Audio)
With Youbanvox

BANVOX is one of Japan’s leading music producers.

There aren’t many Japanese EDM artists, and on top of that, their release frequency tends to be slower compared to the global scene.

Even in such an EDM landscape, BANVOX keeps dropping new tracks consistently.

His latest song is “With You.” It’s an EDM track with house elements, centered around high tones, but the drop packs a solid low end.

If you listen on speakers that excel in the bass range, it’s incredibly powerful—definitely give it a try.

ICE BREAKERSandaime Jē Sōru Burazāzu fromu Eguzairu Toraibu

An ultra-aggressive track where razor-sharp rap and a catchy hook intertwine over energetic, heavyweight beats! Released as a digital single in May 2025, this piece stands as a signature song of the dome tour “J SOUL BROTHERS LIVE TOUR 2025 ‘KINGDOM.’” Centered on hip-hop’s raw power and elevated with EDM’s exhilarating lift, the production is superb.

Packed with a message about breaking through walls and moving forward, let this song become your personal anthem.

Town of the Witching Hour (feat. Inoue Warabi)pasokon ongaku kurabu

The urban, brisk tempo and the way the muted guitar blends with the minimal electro sound are really great.

In terms of situations, it feels like “after work” or “inside a car in the city at night.” It’s a track that makes you feel like something might happen tonight.

Not only does it work as club music, but the vocal melody is clear, and the structure feels like verse A and verse B, so it stands up well as pop, too.

When you want to sway your body to something laid-back, Hibana (Sparks) is also a great pick.

This track was released ahead of Cornelius’s album Dream In Dream.

Keigo Oyamada wrote both the lyrics and music.

The lyrics compare the “sparks” in the title to various things, capturing those moments—like when an emotional switch flips—that are hard to express in other words.

Another highlight is the way the repeated melody creates a uniquely uncanny atmosphere.
