[2026] Japanese club music. J-DANCE

Broadly speaking, there are two types of clubs in the world.

One type is a club that functions like a community for enjoying specialized music.

The other is a club that plays tracks you can dance to, above all else.

Japan has a particularly well-developed culture of the latter, and club music has consistently been popular since the 1990s.

This time, we’ve picked out the latest tracks from Japan’s club music scene.

We’ve selected from a variety of genres, including EDM and house, so we think even hardcore fans of electronic music will enjoy it.

Please relax and enjoy to the very end!

Centered around DJ Shacho and active mainly through video-sharing platforms, Repezen Foxx is a five-member music group.

Their collaborative track “BAKA” with Daboyway, a well-known Thai rapper, is a number whose hysteric synths and oriental atmosphere create an addictive appeal.

The contrast between the cool rap and the catchy, hook-filled melody leaves an unforgettable impact after just one listen.

With a party-like ensemble that lifts the energy, it’s a standout dance tune to watch.

GeG, a track maker also known as the keyboardist of Hentai Shinshi Club.

The single “EDEN feat.

nishina, Tsubaki,” released under his solo name on September 13, 2023, also drew attention for featuring nishina—who is gaining notice as a new-generation musician—and rapper Tsubaki.

The contrast between the lyrical melody layered over a spacious track and the cool rap, together with the driving beat, really lifts the energy.

It’s a somewhat sentimental number whose dreamy atmosphere pulls you into the song’s world.

J.O.K.E.R.MAZZEL

An ambitious work that fuses sophisticated musicality with dynamic dance performance.

Released by MAZZEL in February 2025, this piece was selected as the official theme song for the Tokyu Fudosan Holdings Breaking World Match 2025.

The lyrics express the importance of staying composed in competitive moments and leveraging one’s strengths, likening them to the Joker—the trump card in playing cards.

Its deep dance-music sound makes you want to move as you listen.

TornadoMIGMA SHELTER

MIGMA SHELTER is an idol group that goes wild dancing to psychedelic trance.

They have announced a trilogy inspired by the classic children’s novel The Wizard of Oz.

The first installment, the single OZ one, was released in April 2023.

Its opening track, Tornado, is a dance tune that, just like a real “tornado,” is sure to whip the floor into a frenzy.

BURNNOA

Singer-songwriter NOA, who’s popular for his outstanding looks and stylish musicality.

While he’s often labeled as R&B and pop, his signature sound leans more toward deep house and EDM.

His new track, “BURN,” is a pop tune that evokes the deep house and future house trends of the 2010s, with a sleek, sharp melody running throughout.

Town of the Witching Hour (feat. Inoue Warabi)pasokon ongaku kurabu

The urban, brisk tempo and the way the muted guitar blends with the minimal electro sound are really great.

In terms of situations, it feels like “after work” or “inside a car in the city at night.” It’s a track that makes you feel like something might happen tonight.

Not only does it work as club music, but the vocal melody is clear, and the structure feels like verse A and verse B, so it stands up well as pop, too.
