A must-see for low-voiced women! Popular songs that are easy to sing at karaoke
These days, many songs for both women and men are in higher keys, so there are probably many women with lower voices who feel, “I can’t find songs I can sing because my voice is low,” or “I’m looking for lower-key songs for karaoke.” Forcing yourself to sing songs that don’t suit your natural voice can hurt your throat, and it can be stressful when you can’t sing the way you want.
But don’t worry! There are plenty of songs that sound captivating even with a low voice.

Female Artists (211–220)
Kiss the windGLIM SPANKY

GLIM SPANKY is a rock duo that’s gained popularity for their low, husky vocal tone.
Their vocals, which blend emotional depth with cool swagger, leave a strong impression.
Among GLIM SPANKY’s works, the one I especially recommend for women with lower voices is “Kaze ni Kisu o Shite” (“Kiss the Wind”).
Musically, it’s straightforward, rock-tinged J-pop.
The easiest part to sing is, without a doubt, the chorus.
While choruses typically ramp up in intensity, this song does the opposite—the melody actually drops slightly in range.
And since it’s not a key change, there’s no worry about going off pitch.
Dancing on the MirrorTomei

Tomei is a female singer-songwriter with a sharp musical sensibility who’s highly regarded in the industry.
While her downer-tinged tracks are especially compelling, my top recommendation is Dancing on the Mirror.
It’s close to the electro-swing popular in places like Belgium and France, and it carries an adult, jazzy vibe throughout.
The piece doesn’t have a particularly narrow range, but because it features many low parts, it’s perfect for showcasing the charm of singers with lower voices.
If you find the falsetto in the chorus hard to sing, try delivering it with solid projection instead of the whispery tone used in the original.
Even though it’s marked as falsetto, it’s not extremely high, so you should be able to handle it in chest voice.
Peerless BlossomAina ji Endo

Aina the End’s new song “Hana Musou.” Recently, she’s been leaning into a more sentimental vocal style to make the most of her distinctive husky voice, and this track lets you savor that emotion-filled singing.
The vocal range is about average, and since there are no high phrases that require falsetto, the barrier in terms of range is relatively low.
While the vocal line allows for a fairly wide expressive palette, it doesn’t feature many complex techniques like ad-libs or falls, so it shouldn’t feel particularly difficult.
Marshmallowaimyon

Aimyon’s track from her third album, “Heard There’s Delicious Pasta,” which was released in September 2020.
Aimyon has a cool voice with strong low-to-mid frequencies, and this song is crafted to really bring out the “sweet spot” of her vocals.
I think it’s relatively easy to sing even for women who aren’t comfortable with high notes.
That said, singing lower ranges with style can actually be more challenging in some ways than developing high notes, so be mindful of that.
Also, in the march-like rhythm of the A section, be careful not to fall behind the beat as you sing.
I want to be lovedYumcha
Yumcha is a singer-songwriter whose love-themed musical style has made her hugely popular among teenage girls.
Her artist name is pronounced “Yamucha.” Because of her pop image, people often assume she sings a lot of high-pitched songs, but that’s not the case.
Her hit song “Aisaretai” has a bright, refreshing feel, yet the vocal range is fairly narrow, and the chorus is mostly in the mid to low register.
If you adjust the key to suit you, even women with lower voices can sing it comfortably—so consider adding it to your repertoire.
heartaimyon

This is Aimyon’s 12th single, released on November 24, 2021.
It was chosen as the theme song for the TBS Tuesday drama “Only Just Married” (Kekkon Todoke ni Han o Oshita Dake desu ga).
In the original track, the song opens with a slightly high, mix-voice-like scat, so some lower-voiced women might hesitate to select it for karaoke.
However, Aimyon herself has a very appealing mid-to-low vocal range, so don’t be afraid to give it a try.
Overall, singing with a soft, relaxed delivery—without tensing up—will help it sound great.
Even in the powerful sections, be careful not to get rough; aim for controlled, expressive singing.
Good Day After the Rain (feat. iri)Hanaregumi

Hanaregumi is a solo act that has won popularity with its ennui-tinged musicality.
You may already know them, as they’ve collaborated with many artists.
The track created by Hanaregumi and popular female R&B singer iri is Rainy After Good Day (feat.
iri).
Since this work features iri—whose voice is low—as the main vocalist, it’s crafted to be very singable for low-voiced women.
It doesn’t include the kind of intricate vocal runs typical of R&B, so it’s exceptionally easy to sing.
Be sure to add it to your repertoire.
