Ehime Festival Calendar [2026]: A Roundup of Music Festivals and Outdoor Events

The Uwajima Hawaiian Festival is an event that began in Uwajima City, Ehime Prefecture, in 2011—ten years after the Ehime Maru incident—under the theme “For Smiles.” The venue is the Kisaiya Square at the Minato Oasis Uwajima roadside station, featuring stage shows such as hula performances and ukulele music, along with food and drink booths from all over Japan. In 2026, the 13th festival will be held over two days, June 6 and 7.

Maintopia Fest is an event where you can enjoy music and gourmet food, held on a special stage set up on the lawn at the tourist facility “Maintopia Besshi” in Niihama City, Ehime Prefecture. In addition to a wide variety of stage acts such as dance and live performances, there will be shops offering BBQ, takoyaki, pita sandwiches, and banana juice. The lineup mainly features local acts, including Iyokan Band, Hanami Manabe, and FAKE. The event will take place on April 29, 2026. Admission is a flat 1,000 yen for both advance and same-day tickets, and preschool children enter free.

Setouchi Idol Festival is a live event bringing together nine idol groups active in the Setouchi area, staged at the Sub Hall of the Ehime Prefectural Culture Hall in Matsuyama, Ehime. In addition to the stage starting at 11:00 a.m. on the day, there will be bonus events, meet-and-greets, and photo sessions, making it a day where fans can enjoy close interaction with their favorites. The lineup also includes STU48, and the event—offering a taste of the Setouchi idol scene—will be held on Monday, February 23, 2026 (a public holiday).
